A 20 year spread is a bit much.

At 30, I may have gone to 40.

Now that I'm knocking on the door of 40, a 50 year old seems too much for me.

I'd need that number to be in the 40's somewhere, and I've never had a problem dating someone older, just not too damn much older.

I almost never hear of relationships working out where the guy was even slightly younger than the woman...much less by 20 years.

It's always the woman who ends up heart broken, too.

If it makes you happy, go for it! My mom's 50 and hot for her age. She's dating a guy 10 years younger than her but they're happy. That's all that matters.

I was going to mention something like this.

Women at 40, 50 are still in their sexual prime, but the men are way past their's. So a woman in this age bracket with a much younger man is obviously looking for someone with stamina, etc.

AND if a woman can get a severely younger guy, that means she must still be hot and sexy.

What are you talking about? have you fucked many old guys to find out? or are you just go by all the erection ads you see and people who tell you—_..Ive been with heaps of old guys and they had nothing wrong??_.and its nothing that viagra can't fix anyway.

Not yet. I definitely don't want to push the envelope, just let things progress. I think there is interest there for sure.

He seems shy, but he makes eye contact a lot and chats with me. So it's not like he avoids me or anything. I just know that if I take it easy and slow it won't spook him.

I don't know. I am a Pisces after all. We do like to not embarrass ourselves whenever possible. But it is definitely there, and if I had him alone, and it was obvious, yeah, I would go for it.

Let's say a 40 year old man wants to date a 20 year old woman.

I'm not sure if them being on the same maturity level is actually a good thing lol There's no reason a 40 year old man should have the maturity level of a 20 year old woman

And I say that b/c there's certain things that have to be in place in order for age gap relationships to work: 1. Both have to be on the same page 2. Both have to want the same things and 3. Both have to share the same maturity level. This is true for all age relationships, but especially important in age gap relationships. Hell, 1 big reason for why age-gap relationships don't work out in the 1st place is b/c 1 or all 3 of those aspects are missing. It can work though. But only if all 3 aspects are there.

So when you actually sit & think about it, I'm not so sure if a 50 year old having the same maturity level as a 25 year old is actually a good thing lol

I get that she may think she's as mature as him, but na I doubt it. Experience plays a lot into maturity. It's not the only factor, but it's def. a big factor.

I know 3 guys that prefer older women, it's just how they are made, they are turned on by experience. They are good looking guys and younger girls adore them, but they are just not interested sexually in younger women. We are all wired differently and if a younger man finds he is only able to be seduced or aroused sexually by an older woman that is his prerogative. One of those 3 guys had a 2 year live-in relationship with someone his own age (very pretty)and found he just couldn't get it up for her so they broke up. He is happily married to a woman 14 years older than him and his sex life couldn't be better. When they first got together everyone went 'Ughhh' because he is so hot and she's very average, but seeing the way he looks at her, it just made sense, he's so in love, they married after 8 months together, he had to chase her, she wasn't having it at first. They have been happily married for 4 years now.

I meet lots of younger guys when i am out and some of the show an interest in me and i say to them *go chase the younger ones* most of them say they are not interested and find older women much hotter. Seems to be a growing trend?

I agree, I think social media has a lot to do with that, young girls post pics trying to look sexy and hundreds of guys like their photos, they in turn like hundreds of guys photos (especially the topless ones) and I think mature guys (no matter how young they are) are looking for a bit more substance and loyalty. Older women tend to be more reserved and nurturing and actually care about what you think and how you feel.
