I hope so too and he used to be a huge drug dealer only stopped for probation
Well it's good your friend has a place for you to stay. Now you just need to regroup, have a sleep and tomorrow you can start to think about what to do next.
Do be prepared for shit to hit the fan on his end though. Do you have a cell phone? Is he blowing it up with texts? Keep anything and everything he has sent you as evidence of his abuse from here on out. Take care of yourself.

Typical.... keep that. Do not respond. If he can find out your whereabouts, he can create problems for you and your friend, and the more records you have of him being crazy, the better your case. Especially if you have anything from the past with him, emails, anything written down, even any dates and times he has been abusive to you.
Right now, though, the best you can do is just not message him at all.
If you ever find yourself with a lawyer, they would tell you the same thing. Do not respond, and take records.
Okay I'll keep all that in mind. I haven't responded since I left and just gotta get through tonight and I'll be ok. Thanks for being so sweet

I am the same. Am currently trying to unlearn certain types of self-criticism, where I hold myself to standards I don't hold anyone else to.
Instead of self esteem, I try self-efficacy. Because I find the former relies too much on others.
