the answer to all of your questions is "yes". x) I'm intimidated talking to a scientist ngl, thank you for powering through my neuroses and continuing to read my posts and engage with me. if I say something ridiculous, like passing blanket judgment due to a subconscious place of emotion- or sharing frivolous anecdotes, you can feel free to ignore. 🙈 the religious shame definitely was projection, but I live in the Bible Belt after all. Your point that they punch down attractionwise for power is something else I've sometimes noticed, in more sexually liberal men (I meet few). they lock down with someone they're less attracted to so they can betray her repeatedly & he can still always come home

from what I've seen, a mutual % that's too high can indicate physical distance, no conception, failed marriage, or the relationship never gets close.
