What do you think contributes to having a high or low sex drive?

And just to make it a little fun, what do you think contributes to a high or low sex drive astrologically?

I would consider myself having a high sex drive, but I don't think it really has anything to do with my age. I remember being five or six years old and being curious about sexuality (especially in media). As of now, I can constantly think about sex, and if possible, I could go twice a day if allowed. Fortunately, it doesn't interact negatively with my everyday life, but when I find myself drifting off, I'll just randomly think about sex.

Also, another question. Do you believe that women have a higher sex drive than women, or vice versa?

Work stress,poor diet,no longer attracted to your partner,body confidence,depression can all have a negative effect on one's sex drive.
High sex drive:early stage of a relationship,feeling good about ones's self and fancying the pants off the other person.
Stats would say men tend to have a higher sex drive than women. Possibly because men are more visual. Men get turned on by what they see.
Sex is used now to market even washing up liquid.....so men are always been visually entice.

I want AND do have sex like 3-5 times a day! I'm always thinking about it & no matter what I'm going through or no matter how I feel, I am always down for a good sexual escapade.

Perhaps how good or not your partner is in bed can either bring out the inner vixen in you or the opposite!

Sex drive to me has more to do with quantity moreso than quality. It's about how often someone either wants or atleast thinks about sex. And then there's how many times a person actually does have sex/turns their thoughts into reality

Basically my life. But like epithet said, if I'm not with someone, I just won't even bother getting sex. It won't stop me from thinking about it, which is still at the same frequency as when I was getting sex.

And sex drive is also, IMO, more about the quantity than the quality. I've had good sex, lackluster sex, and great sex (so far),but that doesn't change how much I may want to have sex.

5-7 is a little excessive IMO. I don't even think there is enough time in the day to do that (unless you're doing quickies each time).

5-7 times is not excessive. It's actually very possible. Doesn't mean a couple will have that much sex for the rest of their lives or even for the remainder of the relationship, but it is possible.

I agree Kandeh that when I'm not in a relationship, oh my sex drive is still there & doesn't change, but the only person that can bring the inner vixen out of me is the person I'm in love with. I think people tend to be more "freaky" when they're having sex with the person they trust, love & are comfortable with!

Your thoughts .... as with everything in your life, the body is an extension of the mind, and the body follows whatever the mind tells it to do.

Your sex drive is purely mental.

After reading through this, it appears to me that people are confused .. they believe that the desire for sex came, and then they think about it.

It's the other way around.

You think about it first .. this creates the desire.

Im kind of feeling TOC a bit on this.

Yeah I have sex maybe 5 times in 1 day BUT for over a long period of time is quite excessive and obsessive.

You ever heard of rug burn? Who wants to have there woman parts pounded 5 - 7 times a day for a week, much less a whole relationship?

And Candeh, nothing wrong with thinking about sex, and having it often but anything in excess is never good.

Actually, I prefer 2-3 times/day but on average I'm getting it only once a day. Tragic, I know 😛

Besides, why is sex so nasty to you? Did you undergo some traumatic sexual experience? I can understand when someone has a low sex drive, and is just not that interested, but they don't usually have a strong aversion to it.

Oh people please! Eventually all of our "junk" is gonna fall off or gonna stop working eventually so why not just F like rabbits until then! Life is short, remember? =P

I read a study a while back that found an inverse correlation between income & sexual activity: Lower Income people tended to have sex a lot more often than Upper Income people...

It always seems to boil down to Love - or - Money.

As a poor college student who only spends money on groceries and mainly focuses on academics and work... makes sense to me lol.

listen, i think about sex everyday, and i've had sex 3-5 times in a day before..but for 7 days straight— mmm naa..my balls would need some time to recuperate..seriously..i mean even GOD rested on the 7th day..

plus,thru my many,many...many years of bursting nuts, i realized that the bursting sensation feels A LOT better when you eject loads of semen..and the best way to do this is by allowing your ball sack to magically produce the precious love juice..which means u must let them rest..

Bingo. Also, in my sociology classes, we often discussed teen pregnancies among girls from lower income families. Generally, they would put more emphasis on love, family, and sex to give them something to work towards and spare the time and strain of hardships that come with having a lower income. When pregnancy resulted for the younger girls, instead of finding other options for themselves, they would keep the baby as a way to better themselves, to have something (in this case, a family) to work for, and to have someone to love. The child would be a way of taking them from the negativity of their environment/living and economic situation.
