Anyone on here experience this?

You meet. You fall in love. Its all very beautiful and intense and romantic.

But..

It gets close very quickly and so the rship starts going backwards!!

Did you both break up?

Or did things settle and you started going forwards again? Together x

I met someone in a bookshop In London and they were flying to Tanzania that day. I ended spending the day with her, going to the airport with her, we were kissing on the train lol it was love at first sight. 3 months later she comes back from Africa and stays with me for a few days and it was amazing but then she had to go back to USA to study. She almost stayed with me instead but I told her to go and if we were meant to be together then we would be.

Eventually, I made it over to Philadelphia where she was studying and we lived together for a couple of months but yes very quickly everything seemed to go wrong. We were on completely different life paths. It was very sad because we felt like we had met the person we had always dreamed of and then the dream turned out to be not real.. 🤔

I flew home and we never saw each other again..

I love the story! Take all chances life is offering is my motto.

Yes it was very romantic - she went to live with a Masai Tribe when I saw her off at the airport. She asked if I wanted to go with her! Like I'm going to jump on a plane to Africa on the spot lol. Maybe if I had done that things would have been different?!? Seems like we peaked that day and after that we grew apart

Damn, now I'm wishing I had gone with her that day.. even for an impulsive Gemini it seemed a bit much though

Hahah it was quite an offer! No regrets, you tried it and it did not work out. Still a great story! Keep it this way

I think “backwards” is not the right term….more like “downhill”. It happened to me a couple of times, that feeling that my partner was losing interest and started to disengage or even sabotage our relationship.

I blamed myself a thousand times for it, and tried to find out where did we go wrong. Maybe if I have done this or that, or didn’t go there. Or tried to change the atmosphere. Or told him off each time he disappointed me, instead of distancing myself emotionally. Why was I reluctant to “fight”(for us) and cause some drama, but not to sulk and accumulate resent? And why were they doing the same, lol?

The thing is, we are how we are. The more I love, the more I hurt. The more I hurt, the more feminine I become. The more feminine I become, the least feisty I am. Those men didn’t move a finger to “fight” for us either, or at least become less self absorbed and more considerate. We both need someone with a different mindset to drag us out of the deep shit.
