Two-Faced Behaviour
People like that are cowards. They don't truly know who they are or what they value or represent so the wishy-washy-whackness begins LOL
I had a friend in my 20s. Loved her like a sister. We're now in our 40s. A few years ago, I traveled to her state to stay with her for a few months. She was hardcore about certain folk she didn't care for, via phone w me. But when I saw how she interacted with them, up close and personal, I realized she was a phony-faced-hypocrite. In other words, a coward. She couldn't check people for the way they treated her but would smile up in their faces and say stupid-shit behind their backs. Would even invite them into her home #laughable That alone, told me, that she's also a phony-face towards me. She proved me right. Placed her in the trash 2yrs ago. She's tried to reconnect several times, but she's been blocked and shut down. Btw, when people show you this toxic-trait, be sure not to let them in any intimate/personal part of your life. They can't be trusted, AT ALL.

Sadly I know this person well and we are friends. I am an instructor too so this person comes to my classes.

I was sitting with a group of ladies and they started going IN on this Gemini guy who is mutual friend of mine.
I felt a certain kind of way and I told them, how tall gonna talk about someone and they're going to walk through the door in like 10 minutes. Then I switched seats.
One of the girls came up to me and was like how she was going to tell him.
Gurl.bye.
There’s a Scorpio woman at my job who does this to everyone. She will literally smile and greet you in a fake high pitched voice. She recently lost both of her parents within a 2 month timeframe.
My opinion of two-faced people? Meh, I really only care what someone tells me in person. Some people are bored and not fulfilled so they gossip.
People gossip about me being hardworking. 🤷🏾♂️ I mean, they’ll find anything to be mad at so I don’t give in to it.

If I don’t like someone but I have to maintain good relations with them (boss, in-laws, family members) and have to swallow some of their nonsense, I’m civil with them but I won’t be friendly, go out of my way for them, suck-up to them and try to form a friendship with them.
Some of these people I cannot stand (my old boss per say) perceived the politeness/civility to mean more and would frequently invite me to go have coffee with them. Little did they know I can’t stand them. Since I couldn’t tell her to f*** off and I had to maintain good ties for my 8 hours each day, I did vent about her when she had done something shitty to my friends. Is it duplicitous?
To me, duplicitous is when a person isn’t fond of you and would talk bad about you but is unnecessarily and over the top friendly to your face.

This person even went for training advice on how to be an instructor from one of these instructors that was insulted.

Dependent on that... yes its possible to think your personal trainer has horrific body odor but gives a good workout.
Its rational to feel like someone gives great training advice on how to be an instructor but >inset whatever insult<
Everyone talks shit about others behind their backs. That’s life 🤷🏻♀️ Never met a single person in my life who didn’t. LOL @ the self righteousness of those who think they don’t do it. We all do it at some point or another and we all have our justifications ready 👍🏻
People do it all the time to bond about bosses, teachers, and other people they don't like but have no control over. I used to participate, but I walk away now because I'm anti-drama. This is probably also why I have no actual friends at work.
Worse thing happened to me or I think it's worse, depends on how you value it. I'm convinced I missed out on being promoted a few years back because I called out a boss who was coming across as a demanding bully. Sad thing is integrity doesn't always get you far.
Ugh. I'm actually dealing with some fallout from not participating in the degrading of our last boss and also not telling her off when I wanted to. There's a new boss now and I've heard rumblings that some people think I was given preferential treatment previously, so I must have sucked up. I didn't suck up. I avoided both sides.
Lucky I've been in quite small closeknit groups or with agencies when I was younger who only offered temping so you never really got to know the "big boys". It's sad how the playground mentality got carried through in the workplace.
