My Sagittarius dad is such an obnoxious know-it-all. He takes pleasure in correcting my mom (libra) and making fun of her opinions all the time. He sometimes even tries to make her look dumb infront us me and my brother just to be mean. But about 80% of the time he really does know what he's talking about. He's very intelligent but I wish that he would acknowledge that my mom is just as intelligent as he is buonly in a different, more creative way.
I don't think all Sags are like this though. I know a few that are humble.

WOW- I am suprised by all the bashing towards Sag's that is going on here! Come on now guys and gals! We all know Sag's seek knowledge and are always researching so we know quite a bit. We are a very intelligent breed by far and yes, may go over board in stressing our points when we are right. But when we are wrong we admit it. At least I do. I do not claim to "know it all" bcus I don't, but if I don't I am willing to learn and to seek out the answers!! HAHA

The Sagittarians I've known aren't typically like that. I get the impression that a lot of them hide their intelligence to a certain degree. It seems as though they often hold back during debates for the sake of keeping the peace. I'm wondering if that's because some of them have been conditioned to stifle their natural tendency to be blunt/honest?
I agree! My friends and family know to expect my bluntness and honesty and when I meet new people, I tend to tame it a bit. You will still see a bit of shine through, but for the most part get to know me then decide if you like me. I am going to be blunt here-but chances are if you don't like me, I probably don't like you either! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I am a Sag & my ex-sag was a complete know-it-all. He constantly put me down which I ignored for a while and then it started to get to me becaus everyone around us asked me why I put up with him talking like that to me & I just brushed it off. He is very intelligent but after I told him that he started belittling me because I complimented him. Go figure.
Sags are very intelligent and they love to learn. For some reason even if I have never done something I usually can figure out how it's done very easily. I think I am lucky that way. To me, alot of things are common sense for some reason.

OK, I reverse my answer from earlier LOL. I now agree with Beachkisses. I cannot make excuses for this behaviour because I happen to like the sign. I live with a Sadge and he seems to believe that making fun of my interests (like astrology) is "busting my balls" but if I tease his obsession with video games (which he prefers to sex), then I'm a life-ruining bitch.Hypocritical much— I think so.

sag i know is amazingly smart. ive seen her come off rude, or slightly snobby to other people, who i believe, had it coming(just being stupid).
I'm very opinionated (obviously)...so that might make me seem like I'm a know it all at times, but I don't pretend to know anything about shit I know nothing about.
I have no problem asking a potentially dumb question: better to seem clueless than be caught talking from your ass!

I was trying to give them something to complain more about lol
i know a few sags, and i find the opposites of them are interesting. my friend is a male sag, hes not dumb, but hes not noticeably smart either. he is very humble, kind. quiet confidence. the same goes for the female sag i talked about earlier.
on the other hand
i dealt with a dude yesterday who was the most obnoxious, arrogant, childish fuck ive ever conversed with. he happened to be a sag.
^^its these type of people who give bad raps. and i encounter the better kind of people more often than the not so good kind. same for all the other signs.
