Particularly curious in the outcome

So this sag mom has a sag daughter..
This daughter was dating my uncle for 3 months
till the sag daughter abruptly ended it through text.
then later got the sag mom to have a lil three way meeting to explain to the uncle further why it ended.
My uncle is a leo mind you... so he has been obsessively talking about her with "you think she'll take me back?, I think she'll take me back." for the last additional 3 months.
Now he eventually got her to stay friends with him....
the sag mom likes him and recently I understand that she has been trying to get her daughter back with him.
now I am confident that the sag daughter will stand by her decision.. BUT she is close with her mom so.. with her mom nudging her back into something im unsure the outcome.
never seen a sag mom and daughter combination in a family but I often thought the mom would acknowledge the daughters need for freedom but...

Nope it's a wrap. We tend to be our own lol person. Family is one of the least things that influence us regardless of how close we are to them.

I was considering a career as a chef, back in the old days

Retrograde hit pretty hard.. first time I seen a sag TRY to come back to a relationship she ended... 0_0

Nah leo seemed to hold his ground and not willing to get burned a second time.
She text him askin if they could go out some time.
Leo said he is fine being friends but other then that its in the past and he doesnt want to go back to it.
She text asking for a second chance.
He refused.

Im very overhelmed....

I dont know what is more confusing the sag coming back or the leo refusing.....
He was talking about her non stop since sunday..... to the point of annoyance.. now eh

Thats a critical piece of information that fits nicely into the puzzle.
I am just curious if this is the final nail...
Or am I going to start hearing doubt in his voice for an extra 3 months of "you think I should have taken her back?".
Im to the point of ripping my ears off and plugging the remaining holes with sand if he mentions her again.

Last update because I know where this is headed....
Last week mom sag asks him to have lunch on sunday with them ( mom sag is good at bending ppl to do her will) so he agrees.
Today they had their lil meet..
Daughter says she didnt mean to end it the way she did.. daughter says she sorry.. after their lunch they (daughter and leo) are currently texting again.. nothing official but sounds like a
jumping point.
Thoughts??

@dontgetmewrong Ah the reasons have never been given.. leo is not too bright in asking such questions.
But what information that I know..
1. She said once to him that it got too complicated.
2. He is in his late 50's and she wants alot of kids.. him not so much.
3. She has never really dated and wanted to explore her options
4. Mother sag was constantly talking about daughter and leo getting married this and cant wait till you get married that.

Now how she did it well it was in one late night text praising him and then saying how he was too good for her. Saying sorry that it wasnt going to work out (along those lines).

Considering this only lasted three months I figure it may not last longer.. assuming they get two a second try.
mind you leo is still in the dark "what went wrong" and has it aaaalllllll sorted out in his mind how its all going to work this time around. Without knowing the problem and a solution I have no idea how he is so optimistic in a positive outcome.
I really don't enjoy watching inevitable train wrecks a second time around.

The are both optimistic signs even if it's a negative. She will try to make it work bc she's already started back up again. Eventually though, she will realize that she was right the first time.
It's just a matter of time.
