how can you celebrate when you're country is in economic decline? sorry, hate to dampen things LOL!!!

anyway. i guess that's where the US dxp'ers are today 🙂

of course, without the spanish and latin americans - it would have been a very different story. it doesn't seem to be acknowledged very much that they contributed in the war of independence even. in fact, without the spanish and latin americans (who appear to be disrespected quite a bit by americans generally), the US would be enslaved by communism by now (as they ought to be muahahahhahah!!!).

america would benefit from adopting the spanish/latino 'manana' mentality. they should have a siesta every day and spend more time thinking about doing something rather than actually doing it! (especially mr bush and his successor). they should start the day with a stiff drink at 7am and have a full three course meal with wine/beer at noon precisely. office hours should be adapted to include siesta hours in the afternoon. no-one is concerned with punctuality. there is no concept of time in fact. they don't have road rage. they don't have stress. they just don't have the arse for it LOL.

so laid back they're horizontal!!

I don't celebrate Independence Day myself. I think patritism gives us a reason to support unjust wars for centuries. America has been doing it all along when it slaughtered red blood for America's independence, enslaved Africans........Lets not forget how we liberated the African American people and than segregated them ....a bit dysfunctional to me. ........ohhhhhhh and most of all ........invade a country because it has "chemical weapons" ......that have yet to be found. I guess the USA meant to say ....we are there to preserve our dependency on oil. Let's not even go into vietnam or the iran contras either. Okay I rest my case. Perhaps I am a bit too cynical for such a holdiay.

Don't get me wrong. I love my country not necessairly our government whether it is Obama or McCain. Black, White, Democratic, or Republican....it is all the same. It does not matter who is in power because who is behind all that power .....are the same people....*Coughs Rockafellers* ......anywhoo ........

Since Independance day fell on a Friday, this entire weekend has been one big party. I watched fireworks displays from thursday straight through yesterday, and might even catch some tonight. But one thing I figured out is that they arent much fun when you watch them by yourself. Especially when you see couples all cuddled up on blankies with their necks craned up, arm in arm. You start to imagine them saying things to eachother like "Oooo...that one was the prettiest so far" "Not as pretty as you, honey!" Aww...Im gonna let you stick it in my ass tonight just for saying that...smooch"
