That went as per my wishes. Hopefully today does as well.

But i have to comment on Giroud. The man is such a ball waster. Before the game started the commentators dug out from somewhere the info that he hasn't even shot on goal this whole tournament. Everything he shot went wide.

During the game, it was just more of the same, he got about 5 balls in the box, all shot wide. They weren't perfect balls, but someone better might have at least made the goalie work for it. But not Giroud.

#edit: I like how Mbappe plays, not the speed and all that is mentioned, but his team spirit. He isn't what we call a solo player, acting all stellar with skills, dribbling into oblivion until he looses the ball, but passes around very intelligently to maximize the team's chances.

In the first half, someone from the Belgian side did something like that (dribbling), Lukaku was waiting almost alone at the other side of the box, but this player (i think it was Hazard) went for glory and tried to do it alone. Of course nothing came of it and for the remainder of the game Lukaku was covered so well, he practically received just that one ball for a header he missed.

Actually, you have crazy fans who get a little crazier during the World Cup (some of them will go even as far as to insult/threaten players online, though this is a minority luckily)

And then you have English fans (aka hooligans) the worst of them lot. These guys actually make a job out of getting wasted, getting physical, vandalize, destroy/piss on monuments of foreign cities they are visiting, terrorize and beat supporters of other teams, disrupt traffic, bully tourists and are overall just a pain in the ass for the local police.

If you go to any major city in the world and ask to a local who the worst tourists are, they'll more often than not say, the English.

You’re South American right? (I forgot if you ever mentioned what country you’re from)

English hooligans are bad sure, but they’re definitely not the only fans to do those things lmao don’t lie now

Wees niet jaloers, Engeland gaat deze match sowieso winnen!😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Do all teams have just hoardes of nasty fans or is Brazil particularly bad?

A Colombian defender who scored an auto goal, long time ago, let's say 15 years or so and who was blamed for Colombia dropping out of that WC got killed in some bar a few months from then.

Hmmm....i just figured out that if England looses today, they would have to play against Belgium in a repeat of the group stage game in which no team wanted to win to not face Brazil in knock-outs.

Except now they will have to go at it for real. 3rd place is still better than 4th place and both teams would be happy to get the medals.

If it goes down this way, it would be funny how the universe gets it's way. 😛

Actually he was killed because he got into a war of words with maffia dudes at a parking lot, which could have happened to any Colombian at the time, considering the situation in the country at the time (drug cartels/maffia wars) I lived in the same city as that defender back then (Medellin)

The media sold the story differently I guess

Hmmm, maybe. I was talking out of memory there. I went to check now, turned out he died just a week after the WC.

A safe bet would be dem fighting words you say were the reason of his death were about the auto goal. But idk, just speculating now.

You could argue that the WC having happened shortly before that gave him extra notoriety, which could have made him an easier target. However it wasn't uncommon for any Colombian at the time to having suffered the same fate. In fact my uncle got killed in Dec. of 93 also in Medellin (half a year before that World Cup) by maffia people. His only mistake? Accidentally having sold sportswear to the wrong people (he got killed when he met up with them to get paid)

Bruh, you're reaching.

You know i'm most likely right but you are probably embarrassed into conceding that your home country isn't home of the most savory people in the world. For the record, the guy that got sent off against Japan this year, received death threats as well.

I like Colombia tho and am not making any conclusions on the quality of it's people based on a few rotten apples.

You aren't right on this, I'd be happy to admit it if you were though.

You claim Andres Escobar's death has something to do with the craziness of football fans, which is what we were discusing in the first place. I already gave you specific facts of the circimstances surrounding his death. None of them have to do with football fans. They have to do with maffia. Capisce?

Other than that, what does it say to you that the English Football Association itself has admitted English football fans are among the worst (if not the worst) in the World?

And if I were you, I wouldn't even dare to suggest on "savoury people", when you look at England's well-documented history of colonization, just for starters. I'm sure you dont wanna go there.

Man, you're coping hard right now. I'm not even from England nor am i connected to colonization nor does that subject have anything to do with the subject here. Idk where you're going with that but you won't really get far.

I was a kid back then, pretty sure you were too, unless you're 50 right now and all we can go on are press releases which pretty much unequivocally say he got killed because of that auto goal.

Some articles even say for the each shot, the killer screamed "goooooaaaaaaaaal" like south American TV commentators are known to do when there's a goal.

The arrested killer allegedly told the goal cost his boss, one of the mafia lords of Colombia vast sums of money lost through sports bets.

Since were sharing dreams.....i dreamt i was being chased by two people around town at night. Then i realized i have an 18th century sword in my hand, so i decided to wait for them and attack.

Turned out one of them was a woman, the guy ran, she couldn't and last i remember i was poking my fingers around her butthole.

Interpretations plz.

Actually he was killed during the 1994 WC, otherwise the world would not have noticed if it happened months later, which also makes it possible that he got killed because some Cartel leaders lost their money.

I am sooooooo tired, I just got home and want to sleep 😢

Football was never gonna come home anyway. Football was invented by Freemasons in service of a Freemason agenda and those fuckers actually strive for abolishing borders. Just cause they met up at an English pub to work on their football plans and they were born in England means shit 😎
