Eight of Cups, Queen of Swords, Death, and the Sun

I pulled some cards today regarding my dogs who are far away from me right now. I am currently overseas.

I got Eight of Cups, Queen of Swords, Death, and the Sun in that order next to each other.

I feel like it means death is coming but they are going to a better place.

I am still a novice and I can’t quite fluidly connect the whole message. Please let me know what you think it could mean.

If it were people, I'd say a breakup is coming. But dogs? 8 cups means leaving something that is no longer fulfilling in your life. The Q SW is a savvy woman who's be hurt in the past and has learned from her negative experiences. She could represent an air sign. She is logical and a tough person. Death means the end of a cycle. And the Sun means lots of positive attention.
