Is my Tarot spread along the right lines?

Hi guys,

I am new to tarot and have a very basic understanding of it. The way I interpret the cards is that the Major Arcana are the overall situation while the Minor are the specific details. So what I've been doing is a bastardised version of the 3-card spread that I have read about online. First I would shuffle the Major Arcana and pick one as the overall situation. Then I would shuffle the Minor and split the deck into three; Past, Present and Future.

Overall this has given some decent results although as a beginner, I'm having trouble interpreting it. Here's my first reading ever:

Question - Will I get the funding I need to do my nursing course?

Major - Hanged Man (Upright)

Minor

Past - 2 of pentacles (Reversed)

Present - 10 of wands

Future - 8 of pentacles

Interpretation - This is a time of transformation. I have had a time of financial difficulty and have waited for the right opportunity. I have worked hard but I must also ask for help and share the load. My efforts will pay off and I will have abundance.

Hope what I have done and interpreted is right. I would be greatly for any advice or opinions you can give.

Since you asked Tarot a question - "Will I get the funding I need to do my nursing course?" you shuffled cards and pulled the "bottom" card (or should have pulled the bottom card) as "top" are for Clarifying. You pulled The Hanged Man (upright means Yes), but there is stagnation.

Past: Two of Pentacles (Reversed). Pentacles are associated with Earth sign (Taurus, Capricorn, or Virgo); you MAY have this in your birth chart; 2 of Pentacles Not working hard on this relationship, no job, not going to school, etc. This makes sense since you weren't going to school in the past.

Present: 10 of Wands (associated with fire: Leo, Saggy, or Aries), you may have this in your birth chart. If you see the man with 10 wands this is many things you are carrying on (struggling) and "pushing forward". I see you struggling when pursuing your Nursing career as it's not going to be easy; but you can do it. Don't give up.

Future: 8 of Pentacles (See above for Earth) = hard worker, student/apprentice, you will work hard towards your studies. And yes, you will graduate and you will be "rewarded".

PS: I HEARD from a DXP member here, when you do your own Tarot reading, one should shuffle, cut, and pick up cards with one's LEFT hand (left being close to your heart). This is a good reading regardless, just remember to use your "left" hand (to cut and pick up cards) when reading Tarot for yourself as you will get a more "accurate" reading. Don't fret, this is a good spread.

You have three no cards and one yes and as the yes card is the final one then you will get it but later rather than sooner

The overall message is keep working hard

Thanks very much, that reading is not too far from the one I interpreted myself. On the subject of cards, I have been holding them in my right while splitting the the deck with my left hand.
