Posted by jeaneearly last week was tough, it seemed to be building from the few weeks prior to that - almost like a waxing when I feel the full moon coming on ... I'm doing a bit better this week because I am pushing/struggling hard to maintain as much of the norm as possible ... however, this is because I "know" what is going on and so I can try harder to balance it emotionally - my Libra is so positive and helpful so that helps tremendously

hey @jeane venus retro so far has been okay. i told one of the virgos i don't want to talk until it's over because they're being a bit of an ass and i need space. the other virgo i will continue to speak to only occasionally. as far as my other exes no one has come back so far. so that's been good.
my mood has been weird. i recently updated my meds and am going through a bit of an emotional rollercoaster right now. i started a new med a little bit ago. trying to work through dealing with that now.

When did venus in retrograde start?
The retrograde started March 4 (but has been slowing since January) and is set to end on April 15. Comes about every 18 months.
It's not affecting me too much so far. The only thing is I've been thinking more about people from the past as well as thinking about what I want in a relationship and what I need to change about myself
This guy I dated has a taurus sun and libra moon, both venus ruled. He's in a relationship right now but I feel like the retrograde HAS to be affecting him somehow
The shadow period has been amazing for me and my Taurus bf's relationship. Both of us have laid out what we want out of the relationship, and are planning our future together now. We both have issues expressing our emotions and being affectionate, but it's been really easy for us to do so during this time. None of us are afraid or shy to say how we feel about each other. I'm loving this retrograde so far!
Now in other news, my ex bf's new gf messaged me lmao that was completely unexpected. She was just asking who I was because my ex has been searching me on fb, and she went thru his laptop and saw so she messaged me. Haven't spoken to this ex in 5 years so I was shocked lol

To me this Venus retrograde so far has been stirring some emotions in me. Although I'm a Bull I'm not used to having to deal with emotions. I'm very pragmatic and usually I kinda stay away from emotions.
I have been having some emotional mood shifts that have even amazed me with their intensity and crazy high and low shifts... - it has seriously made me think about how water signs are living on a regular day and how they can cope or even function with such insanity hahaha
I also started to have nightmares and weird dreams about some of my deepest fears or suggestions that made me think it was about my fears.
No one from the past resurfaced for me. Instead because of this Venus retrograde I have learned about the other one that happened in 2009 which for me was hell back in the days and basically a type of event that changed my life forever to this very date. In this sense to me this Venus retrograde is specifically important to me because it resurfaced a key problem from 2009 that I yet have to put to rest and resolve it in order to completely transform and finally go on with my life.
So to me this Venus retrograde is very intimate as it indeed deals with me and myself and my own limitations and what I am. I still don't feel I'm on the right path to transform and I still feel I'm too stuck in my old ways and that I maybe need some help or some guidance / some word of reassurance.
This Venus retrograde made me feel also painfully alone. And I thought I knew what it means to be alone.
Also it made me think about a lot of things. Sometimes almost to the point of exhaustion of my of mind. It made me think that maybe that's how some Air signs are sometimes stuck in too many thoughts or blocked into endless analysis paralysis. And I'm not used to this as a Bull. We're not thinkers or feelers as other signs. Therefore I think I'm particularly more vulnerable from this "attacks" of my own mind and soul and I'm not used to it. Therefore it's very painful. And unfamiliar. Unfamiliar in the sense that I don't always know how to deal with it.

I am a 2nd house Pisces sun and am dating a Taurus. Ever since Venus went into retrograde motion our relationship has truly blossomed. At the beginning I was out of state on a trip for ten days, so we both really had time to evaluate what we meant to one another while being seperate.
March 4th was the day Venus officially went into retrograde, and on that day he wrote me a poem! And he even felt comfortable sharing it with me when I returned from my trip. We had a good, simple heart to heart that night. He and I both have quite a few Gemini traits (him with natal planet placements, me with natal 3rd house placements, and many 3rd house compositve placements) so I believe we typically communicate our emotions best through writing, and indeed we do write letters and notes to one another often.
Over this weekend he was gazing into my eyes a lot (not uncommon) but it felt different. Like he wanted to say something, and that night after he turned off the light, before kissing me said, "Good night, my love". And we've never used those special three words, nor has he called me 'love' before.
That's a pretty firm verbal expression right there, which I know was difficult for him to say. I'm still totally shocked. It may help that Venus is transiting both his and my 3rd house (whoohoo for conjunct ascendants 😄)

It would depend what house Venus is transiting to how it affects someone and what natal planets are being affected also
The real only generalised rules are the dos and donts ..ie no new haircuts, new relationships, don't buy something you pay too much for such as stocks, art etc ... Good time to review and reevaluate current relationships, go back to anything ruled by Venus - music art hobbies etc
It would not be surprising to question or think or work through relationships but clarity will appear afterwards (add a shadow period of a few days also either side) I wouldn't be overly concerned (not gospel obviously) of any decisions made relationship wise as they can be reversed easily
Any new relationship/connection formed in this time must have caution attached for the same above reason

I'm having a terrible time of this. Everything seems to be going wrong except my relationships which are good. This almost seems more like a Mercury retrograde for me, though Merc. retrogrades never effect me this badly. Honestly I can't wait until this is over.

My relationship is nonlinear but I can tell that it is getting much deeper and more personal in this retrograde. We're onions pulling back layers and he is expecting my actions to speak very loudly. Im having to overcome pride and ego to get there.
I'm also finding that I'm having to prioritize relationships. Like "What's more important, go to work and stay ahead or take a day off and enjoy special time with my son?" or "spend time with my extended family or stick to my daily schedules?". I love routine but it has been nice to break them to strengthen bonds.
It's been fine...even great i guess...i think i barely noticed it...

Noticing Venus RX effects. Unexpected costs and less disposable income. Progress in my love life seems to have gone backwards or stalled. Learning more about my inner workings and how that influences my relationships.
The last Venus RX before this one I noticed more arguments about money with my s/o.
The last Venus RX before that one I realized my girlfriend at the time wasn't right for me so I broke up with her.

I have learned a lot about myself, and my approach to past relationships and its effect on me now.
This Venus in retrogade has helped me to understand and empathize with Water signs much better.
None of my exes has came back, but my interaction with them and memories of nostalgia has come back to haunt me.
Ironic thing is, my exes were mainly Water.
As much of a positive learning experience this has been...
I still can't wait for this cycle to be over.
I know this is too much information,
But it feels like being on your monthly cycle over and over again.

My Venus is in Taurus and I know that's not the same as having a sun or moon in Taurus.
I personally feel that I am handling this retrograde pretty good *knocks on wood*
But I have an ex Taurus who seems to be acting strangely to me. I mean I've seen him beg and try to convince me in the past but since Venus has been retrograde it's different now. It was always intense. But it's more intense. He seems more emotional about it. It's so confusing to see him be this level of emotional. Seeing how he's known for being stoic AND his moon is in Aquarius too. It makes me feel bad even though I don't show it. I've never seen him cry for our relationship in the past but when he's pleading with me and starts getting frustrated and his voice will start shaking as if he might cry.
I mean a lot is at stake somewhat on his end with the things he has going on in his life And pair that with the retrograde. I'm sure for him it's double overwhelming.
He's revealing so much emotion. And I can hear the reflection of his thoughts when he speaks.
Astrologically speaking, I know what it happening. And whether his words are genuine or not, I'm chalking his behavior up to his retrograde.

Yes, he's my ex. And us being together just isn't logically an option for me.
No we aren't friends in my eyes. It's not my thing to remain friends with an ex.
Short version:
We were in each other life for a really long time. Faced and got through many things. Always ended up finding our way back to each other.
He made a series of choices that would inevitably pull us apart and make it impossible for us to be anything in my eyes. And here we are.

The Venus Retrograde screwed up everything..
I retract my earlier statement about it being lovely. This shit sucks! I'm ready for it to be over. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster that won't end. Things are great between my guy and I, then I start to feel out of sorts, I get defensive, we disagree, our energy is out of sync, we sync back up, repeat. I don't know what's going on from his perspective but I'd like to be back on flat ground.

Thankfully he just asked me to contact his mother for him and let her know what was going on. That's crazy this comes up because in the past weeks or so I have had calls from MANY of the Taurus in my life saying they are having a hard time! I've had to calm a lot of them down.

I am a 2nd house Pisces sun and am dating a Taurus. Ever since Venus went into retrograde motion our relationship has truly blossomed. At the beginning I was out of state on a trip for ten days, so we both really had time to evaluate what we meant to one another while being seperate.
March 4th was the day Venus officially went into retrograde, and on that day he wrote me a poem! And he even felt comfortable sharing it with me when I returned from my trip. We had a good, simple heart to heart that night. He and I both have quite a few Gemini traits (him with natal planet placements, me with natal 3rd house placements, and many 3rd house compositve placements) so I believe we typically communicate our emotions best through writing, and indeed we do write letters and notes to one another often.
Over this weekend he was gazing into my eyes a lot (not uncommon) but it felt different. Like he wanted to say something, and that night after he turned off the light, before kissing me said, "Good night, my love". And we've never used those special three words, nor has he called me 'love' before.
That's a pretty firm verbal expression right there, which I know was difficult for him to say. I'm still totally shocked. It may help that Venus is transiting both his and my 3rd house (whoohoo for conjunct ascendants 😄)
