I understand Taurus is a fixed sign but why are they so quick to shut adventure down.

example: I was chillin with my bull at home having a lazy sunday when he said he was craving some Mexican sea food. (cervice) - that's my forte, he not so much. so i find a place on yelp with good reviews and its a very Hispanic place, people that come sing Mexican songs at your table and the people great you in Spanish before English (just painting a picture ) well my bull is not familiar to this type of environment.

We ill tell him where we are going and where it is located and he point blank shuts me down.

Him: i don't want to go there (point blank, serious face)

Me: Why, this is the best place to find what you want. its so good at places like this.

Him: i just don't want to go.

(it because he doesn't like the area, it is a little urban, little higher in crime and just a older neighborhood from our surrounding area - protective? Boojee?)

i was annoyed because im girl and i finally had my heart dead set on a place to eat. THAT NEVER HAPPENS. and he was straight shutting me down. i was so bummed. and then he was being so matter of fact and stubborn.

luckily i was the one driving and i took him right down there. he came around to knowing he was going no matter what because it was his idea and what i wanted because we are on the "Same Team" as he always says (used his line) So we went in and it was different but he Loved the food, he thought the Spanish music was fun and nothing happened and he told me he just wasn't familiar with this type of place.

but man this was one of many times he has shot down a plan and spoiled a little adventure.

im just glad i won over the stubborn bull.

any tips? any understanding? i'm a little worried about when we have situation on a more serious topic.

just keep these examples in mind when it comes to anything more serious - like "remember the time you didn't want to go to that Mexican restaurant and we went anyway and it was just great" ? sort of thing ...

Mine isn't like that either. He's very willing to try new things especially when it comes to food, environments, travel etc. I think it is one of the best things about him. I know that it doesn't matter where we are or where we go, who we are with, what the social setting is or what food there is - he will go for it and try it all! He doesn't let me down with that!

He has Aries Venus and Merc. Taurus sun. Maybe the Aries helps.

Tauruses are "materialistic" no not because we're vain because that's how we find "comfort" so from the place we live (and area) down to the polish we put on our toes (must be just the right texture thinkness and so forth) must be "up to par"

The fact that it wasn't a favorable location it may have also made him think that the place wasn't A+ for eating there either... when you pick something for a picky Taurus .... cover all angles.

Apart from that... we're stubborn so put it on us lightly and give us all the ideas to brew over it for a little at a time.
Actually, I think it has to do more with how stubborn bulls are than "materialistic" because if I ever tried to take my ex bull to a very upscale place he would flat out tell me NO. Like you said it's about comfort. So it depends on what you are comfortable with and that's it. Doesn't matter what the other wants.

No if's, ands, or buts about it. ? So annoying.

My family likes to get together more than a couple times a month now. This includes Aunts and some cousins.

Everyone has literally given up and just lets my Aunt (Taurus) pick the place. She is the only one who will complain about the food every single time if anyone but her picks. Lol Or she just won't go. Her Sag partner has given up also. Everything revolves around what my Aunt wants because the rest of us are pretty open to try new things (family is mostly air and fire.)

I will always admit to being a stubborn fuck lol. I do like things my way at times because most of the time, I'M the one that has done the research so I know what's good around such areas since I like to go out a lot and will get annoyed if I try someplace new that could possibly be a fail or not to my standards. Don't let that last sentence assume I'm a snotty bitch, because I'm not. I'm incredibly humble. However, I'm usually stuck in my comfort zone because hello, that's what makes me happy. Yeah, I travel a lot so therefore I'm a little open minded when it comes to trying out new things and adventures, but whoever is in a relationship in me better do their research and have patience because i'm not your property, therefore, don't force me and let me do things at my pace. I'll be willing to try it and if I like it then great, if not then sucks to be you. Pet peeve of mine is when I know such place is bad and then friend or etc says "no, it'll be great", then it ends up being bad. Yeah the night can get better as time passes and that's IF it does. But why did we even have to waste time, when we could've gone somewhere that could've been great from jump? So just like I have to deal with stupid friends of other astrological signs that pick places that have a 50/50 chance of sucking, they gotta deal with my stubborn ass lol

Sags have good recommendations but never go to a place with them they have not tried before

Noooo. That's part of the excitement and would essentially be every place we eat!

Hey, it may be good or bad but it'll be a memorable experience with a Sagittarius.

An old Taurean boyfriend of mine would cook the same dish repeatedly on Friday, when we had dinner at his house. Salad, mussels and garlic sauce. Delicious, but after the fifth week it became too boring. Although he gave me great amusement with his down-to-earth predictability.

My attempts to add variety backfired even despite him having a Gemini ascendant. I love that you practically kidnapped Mr T. He must really care about your feelings if you even managed to get him in the car.

Get use to this. If ur gonna be long term be prepared for total adhering to schedules and routines, including going to the same places a million times for the rest of your life lol.

Moon in taurus is the worst
i wouldn't say that

i know that Taurus like adventure, but only when its their own adventure, idea, plan.

im talking about adventurous as a partner as a team. TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM. and adventure where he can i suppose just go along for the ride. is that possible with Taurus?

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I want to go away with him on an "adventure" id really like to visit a Cenote and the Mayan Ruins in Mexico. He says he's so down, I MEAN WHO WOULDNT and he seems excited.

so i have been planning but what happens when i start telling him where we are staying, what we will do, how we will do it. is he going to be all boojee about it, i really hope not.

i don't want to jump to concussions because it hasn't happen yet, and i need to have faith in my beautiful Taurus but ill be so upset if he spoils my plan with his stubborn, my way ways

Why not involve him in the decision making to create a holiday that reflects both your interests? I don't see bossiness being particularly successful.

of course. I want to share the entire process with him, I obviously want him to enjoy it

one of the things that spark the concern is when I told him id rather rent a car and drive to the ruins and cenote on our own rather then take a tour. I want to be able to get there and be on our own time but he wants to do the tour which limitis us especially with the swimming hole. I don't wanna swim with a tour group I want there to be limitied people. and all im thinking is "boooooooo" lol

You may think intellectually that you want to share it with him but you've already stated you don't want him to "spoil my plans".

Holidays certainly test relationships. Compromise is essential. If you are determined to do what you wish then perhaps holiday separately? Its the best solution for some couples.
