What are some good series to watch on Netflix?

Here's what I have watched: The 4400, The 100, Z Nation, United States of Tara, Weeds, Mad Men, Reign, Breaking Bad, Heart of Dixie, The Walking Dead, Survivors, and I just started Supervolcano.
I tried House of Cards and Lilyhammer and one about werewolves but I really couldn't get into those.

So anyone have any suggestions? What series do you like?

Hmm... Give Blacklist a try. it's pretty good. Predictable but has enough plot twists to keep you interested.

The "one about werewolves"- Do you mean Hemlock Grove? If not, that's a great series to get into! I tell everyone it's what Twilight SHOULD have been like and brings in even more crazy supernatural creatures into the mix, while it still be believable. Not to mention both the main dude characters are smokin' hot!

Love Blacklist! Watched it on network TV - haven't missed an episode.

Yeah, it was Hemlock Grove that I couldn't get into.

True Detective
Season 1, only. Don't bother with Season 2.

I'm midway through the 2nd Season.

The setting, the plot, the characters have been replaced.. but I really admire the re-invention in a medium where success often means repetitiveness, or that they drag on forever (Twin Peaks) unsure about what to do with their creation.

The nihilism, the overall style and the hardboiled themes are all there. It's as if David Lynch directed Chinatown . Sure enough Season 2 opening reminded me of Mulholland Drive. Also , I never liked Colin Farrell just as McConaughey always struck the wrong cord with me... but both of them are fu cking briliant in their respective roles.

Both seasons are equally good imo. They're just two seperate works.

If we're getting into movies, trucap, I'd suggest Snowpeircer. Supah good movie, hard to call plot (huge bonus for me), and has lots of action!

Can be found on Netflix. Also, if you're looking for any cool streaming sites PM me. I watch all my everything online. Hate commercials.
Oooh! I saw Snowpiercer. Very good movie.
I like that kind of post apocalyptic stuff.

Peaky Blinders is the greatest thing ever created.
What in the hell.

What's that about without giving away too much suspense?

19th century Birmingham gang/family, trying to expand their control/influence. Not your typical gangster series at all though. Easily the best performances to date for each and every major actor that appears in this series IMO. Actors that I typically don't even like or pay attention to, absolutely blew me away. Set/costume design (like most Netflix series) is gorgeous....You just have to watch it...at least the first couple episodes. I guarantee you will be hooked....2nd season doesn't disappoint. Tom Hardy is amazing in it...

Hmm...I hope it's better than the nose dive Boardwalk Empire took season after season.

Hahahahah...You were crushing on Jimmy Darmody with your Aries Moon, huh? I admit I was a little too (in a manly way of course)....It was never the same after they killed him off.

I agree with you though; that series did start to bore me. Peaky Blinders is WAAAAY better from beginning to end, and it really never disappoints.

It was absolute bullshit how they ended the first season.

I am going to watch it. I love the 20's and I had such high hopes with Boardwalk. I even kept those hopes for showing the Capone era. Huge letdown.

Black mirror is interesting but it's a bit too "focused". I'd watch it more as a documentary than a TV series. The episode with the training bikes hit a bit too close to reality.

I can confirm about syfy cancelling good show and keeping the crappy ones. They'll even cancel bad shows they had renewed after they've started becoming interesting.

12 monkey is of good quality but the ending was rushed and they just thrown a lot of confusing stuff as a cliffhanger instead of resolving stuff as they should be doing in a good season ending

Z nation is total crap, it's sharknado quality.

I've seen first season of "The 100" is not bad, not super interesting but rather well done, but it could become stupid really fast if they don't have good plans for the next seasons

Hey, you watched it too. 🙂

The people I recommended it to ..mentioned that episode above others.

Did you see white christmas? Season 3, episode 0. So far, I liked it the best. And white bear but people don't really like that.

I just wish people wouldn't give up after the first episode because they are all different from each other. Read Robert Downey Jr bought the rights for "Entire history of you" to make it into a movie.

Sons of Anarchy is pretty tough to beat.
I watched about three episodes, not really hooked on it. Maybe I should give it a little more time?
You march your butt right over to Netflix and get through the first Season. You *will* thank me.

Do the same with "Breaking Bad"

Okay, okay, I'll keep at it and give the whole first season a shot.

I did watch Breaking Bad. I liked it.

I remember the 4400.. I'm so fuckin mad they cancelled it.. grrrrrghh
I was pissed off about that one too. SyFy has a habit of cancelling great series and keeping crappy ones instead. I think Dr. Evil apparently runs the network. "Why make Billions when we can make MILLIONS—?" - Seems to be policy there.

I started watching season one of Ascension on Netflix and then realized Syfy canceled it after the first season. It seems like a good show, but what's the point of getting into it.

Z Nation cracked me up!!! Come on, flying zombies in a tornado, animal zombies, glow in the dark nuclear zombies, zombies on viagra and speed (at the drug warehouse)....it was a fun show.

Have you checked out 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' or perhaps 'The Wire'?
Both different genres entirely but one is light hearted and the other quite gritty.

'Sherlock' was fun too- UK version with Benedict Cucumberpatch... each episode is like watching a short movie lol only three seasons with maybe three ep's a season but Cap and I cut it down into 30-45 min batches for dinnertime watching.

I did check out Scrotal Recall.

I also found:

Strange Empire - women struggling in the wild west
Hell on Wheels - very good show about building the transcontinental railroad post civil war.
Did you like Scrotal Recall too?

Also, how is strange empire? I keep eyeing it, but haven't committed

Scrotal Recall was kind of fun.

Strange empire was actually pretty good. It's about settlers moving out west and the men get killed so the women are left on their own except for some shady men in the town. It's a mining town, so it's also about the coal mines in the 1800s. It's a good portrayal about the strength of women. I really enjoyed it.
