Did anyone ever watch this show? It used to air years ago on the Discovery Channel in the afternoon. It was neat because they filmed in the kitchens of actual restaurants. There were three segments for each episode--I think it was usually an appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert. A lot of the cooking shows on now are fine, but this one wasn't all talky and about personality, and it wasn't a timed competition or anything (though I do like watching Top Chef). It's basically just the chef preparing the food and explaining as he/she goes along.
So, yup, Great Chefs, I miss it. The "Great Chefs of America" 40-disc DVD set is only $ 399.98!!
