A&E Classroom comes on during the wee hours of the morning 5 or 6AM EST on the history channel/a&e. LOVE catching them because they're always interesting and generally present complex topics in an engaging way. My favorite of all times was one on the US Presidents but anyhoo...

This morning I was lucky to catch the original docu which later became a series - "How the Earth Was Made." Part 2 airs tomorrow morning. "Check your local listings."

In brevity, it is "a brief account of the Earth's geological progression, from its creation 4.6 billion years ago to scientists' predictions of its demise more than 2.5 billion years in the future."

Definitely a must see for those who didn't catch the original airing in 07 like me.

Overall, I think the concept of Earth being the universe's Petri dish is so cool. I'm sorta pissed that I'm on this end of the evolutionary scale. What will the world look like 500 years from now? What will future generations think of how we live today? Will this time in history be romanticized in the same manner as the Victorian era? Anyway, definitely worth watching and I so wish I would've recorded it.
