I think what Ixi is saying is it’s a form of escapism… they don’t want to deal with American women because we are seen as “difficult ” because we have high standards. I think all that he is saying is that these men can find genuine love with women here, but they’d rather take the easy way out and date someone across the globe.. which is kind of like escaping reality. It does make more sense to me when you correlate tradwife to third world countries, and it gives it a darker lens to see through. Because I know they aren’t really getting that all-submissive version in a Japanese or Korean or Chinese woman, for example. What kind of standards are you talking about though? There are standards and then there are preferences…
When I say standards I just mean that a strong western woman is going to hold her man to a certain standard and not going to be his doormat.
She is going to speak up and tell him when he’s wrong in an argument, she is going to tell him to pull his weight around the household and help with the baby or the housework. I think that’s interesting. I was just there myself in a different setting, like tech and business, and didn’t get any kind of special treatment besides room upgrades. I’m also very average looking, and was with my coworker the entire time who is a much more attractive, younger, gorgeous Italian woman and they fawned over her the entire time.
