Are you more like your Vedic or Western chart?

In Vedic I still have a Cancer moon, but I also have a Cancer Rising. In Western I have a Leo rising I am not really sure which one is correct because I am dramatic and emotional!

not vedic cause nothing like a scorpy.

yet some crazy special chart at astro.com says I was scorpy in my past life.

Usually, Vedic Astrology does not really consider the signs the planets are in but instead looks at the houses in relation to the ascendant. So in that case, most things coincide with a Western chart.

Yes in Western I am Virgo ASC; Gem SUN; Aries MOON; Gemini VEN&MERC;....I only really relate to my virgo asc tbh. ..Vedic I actually like better maybe because I'm in denial...
Leo ASC; Taurus SUN; Pisces MOON; Taurus VEN&MERC....idk anymoreeeeee

do I really?! Well my mom is a Libra. Maybe I received most of her traits! Though I def have my father's eyes (Aqua). That is interesting to hear that observation 🙂

I'd have to say western is most correct when judging my childhood and now though.

Vedic astrology is based on Sidereal astrology where it uses the actual position of the constellation unlike Western Astrology! I found that watching Bill Nye's video on this was the easiest way to understand it.

Definitely interesting.. i was initially confused becasue the astrology guy KRSChannel on Youtube goes by Vedic Astro

In tropical astrology

Sun= Cancer
Moon=Leo
Asc= Sag
Mer=cancer
Ven=Virgo
Mars=Cancer

In vedic

Sun= Gem
Moon=Can
Asc=Scorp
Mer=Gem
Ven= Leo
Mars=Gem

I feel like both fit me. I am a very talkative cancer and very restless and get bored with things very easily and constantly need my mind stimulated and am a big kid. also tend to be attracted to guy who seem intellectual seem to need fixing.

I definetly have many Gem qualities. I guess my cancer moon is why I feel cancer too. But my cancer mars in tropical astrology fits me better I think...

I identify more with the Virgo rising than Leo as a rising.

I'm vegan, and hella ocd about things.

Vedic goes into detail which i love, but like what some professional astrologers do and what people have said here, it's nice to incorporate both i think

So most of you don't relate to the Vedic chart? Could it be because we have already accepted and incorporated the placements of the Western? Astrology is a psychological instrument after all.

Mostly, no. Other than the fact that my sun is all the way in Aries and so is my Mercury. The rest don't fit me at all.

It says I'm a Libra ascendant: nope. Gemini moon: nope. Capricorn Mars: Nope.

Same here, but Aqua Mars in Vedic. Actually I feel I am connected to my Vedic placements in some way, although subconsciously. Look what I read few days ago about Libra rising in Vedic:

I just got started into Vedic Astrology.

When I calulated my Chart, I got Libra Rising which shocked me.Scorpio Rising is my Ascendant in Tropical Astrology.So I was like "Wait Libra Rising Doesn't match me!Scorpio Rising fits me more!

However I read more and more on Vedic Astrology and it seem very much that the previous signs may contain the traits of your current Rising Sign.I'm no expert so there may be errors but I'll use my own chart.

In Western Astrology I'm a Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Rising are infamous for their vengeful and vindictive nature as well as their magnetism and lust.

So when I first found out I'm a Thula (Libra) Ascendant in Vedic Astrology, I was like WTF "That doesn't fit me!".

However the more I read about the Ascendant in Vedic Astrology, the more I felt it matches me. In Vedic Astrology, Thula Risers are known to be magnetic and vengeful. Also they are often attractive people with Sexual Charisma.All these traits that are part of Scorpio Rising in Western Astrology but sort of missing in Vedic Astrology.Also to add in Vedic Astrology, Thula Rising are known to have strong willpower as opposed to the Libra Risers in the Tropical sytem.

VRISHCHAK (Scorpio) Ascendant in Vedic Astrology are generally not associated with the magnetism and vengeful natures of their Tropical Counterpart. However they have the legendary perseverance and willpower of the Tropical Versions as well as the Secretive, traits in Tropic Scorpio Risers.

And as opposed to Scorpio Risers, Vrishcak Risers are known to be good debators and orators, something Libra Rising is known to have in the Tropical Astrology.

And mental stimulation is vital for Gemini Moon.. and there are a few other things I can relate to, but generally my deepest feelings are definitely Cancer.

Ooh where can you find this? I have never seen that chart on astro before, what am I missing?

I use the Vedic chart @ astrolada.com it's a lot more accurate. I think the calculations may be off for the other charts? I use Vedic more for predictive astrology. And Western for personality.

How do I find out what I am vedic astrology? This could explain a lot!!!

I get more Leo sun vibe from you than Virgo sun tbh

Moon in sag is also more fitting on you than cap lel

I feel like both are true they, are just combined

But I see myself as heavily Dharmic and Sattvic. Also Moksha

Corresponding to fire and water I believe.

Kama and the "earth" one are foreign except I love Taurus (cap venus in Western.)

I'm kinda just taking whatever off the buffet line whatever looks good in Vedic Astrology. No phones though. You know?
