Not sure, but bottom line is both moons have unstable nature. Just in different elements.

Western: cancer moon

Vedic: gemini moon

You feel unstable emotionally? I know I do. scorp moon western and libra moon vedic.

I feel the water moon more, and about the libra moon, maybe half of it. It's quite conflicting.

I barely even relate to my western moon sign. My vedic moon sign is Capricorn! I don’t relate at all

I thought the moon is what people relate to the most. You feel your western sun sign more? I have vedic libra moon, western is scorp, and I can relate a bit to the vedic but mostly the western one.

I see, I feel those frequent mood swings too. It makes it hard to stick to one thing, like everything depends on my mood. Then it's like you have to wrestle with yourself to do something even if you don't feel like it.

It's hard, intense? yes but not all the time, i have a lot of neptune in my chart, so very often, emotions I "don't like" gets suppressed in neptunian world.

I hear 8th house moons have a lot of common to scorpio moons. That must be a harsh placement too. Maybe your moon is well aspected enabling you to better exert self-control on yourself and not give in to extreme reactions.

Yes.

Libra moon in Vedic.

Same here. You relate more to your vedic chart in general? Or western?

Most of my placements in Vedic are the same as Western, except mars (Gemini in Vedic, cancer in western) and moon.

I relate more to my western chart in general.

But when it comes to moon I relate more to Vedic.

"It makes it hard to stick to one thing, like everything depends on my mood. Then it's like you have to wrestle with yourself to do something even if you don't feel like it. "

This exactly!

It's squared my venus in libra so it is harsh hehe

Also i have uranus rising so i'm not reliable.. As in mind changes, opinion changes, emotion changes, mood changes.. Just bleh.

What I mean being extreme reactions are like screaming when being angry, cry often (in fact, i rarely cry), or super excited or bouncing off the walls, things like that..

All emotions are at a peak, whether it's happiness or sadness.

You are still good, I have moon square saturn xd

All these changes, intense and happening all the time, must be hard to cope with.

Yes.

They are the same.

I think it's quite rare to have same western and vedic moon. Which sign it occupies?

He probably has his moon at the very end of the sign. That’s what happened to a guy I know, his moon in Virgo is the same in vedic, only it changed from 3rd decan to 1st decan. The degrees changed.

You are right. It's the change in degrees that causes the change in signs. Then I must be having nearly all my western planets in 1st or 2nd decan because my vedic is nearly totally different.

Yes common belief is that the moon you feel strongly even more than the sun but in my case I was even surprised to find out my moon was in Aquarius. Seriously that was one of the last signs I would have expected to be in my chart, much less my moon. I had believed I was Pisces through and through!

Libra and Scorpio are so different it’s crazy to me how much one sign over makes a difference. I think we can find some similarities within ourselves in every moon sign if we look hard enough.

Nice insight, I agree.

You don't have neptune aspects to your aquarius moon? Which house is it?

No I don’t , but my moon is in the 12th house and so is neptune.

Neptune at home, and moon in that house. I don't know much about it. But I guess Neptune doesn't pose you any problems there, unless hardly aspected.

Ohh What do you mean exactly by neptune doesn’t pose problems there?

Luckily my chart doesn’t have many harsh aspects. Only 2 squares and 1 oppositions and none involve neptune (:

I am not sure, but I think neptune is the natural ruler of the 12th house right? Which is the sign on your 12th house cusp and what sign is neptune in?

Both the cusp and neptune are in Capricorn. Neptune is in super late Capricorn at 29°

Lucky you, there is no hard aspects involving neptune in your chart. I have neptune and uranus in Capricorn too, in 4th house.

Ooo 😯 the 4th house is a nice placement to have those planets in. I like 4th house placements. My Uranus is also in the same house as my neptune as well.

I guess. It's a good place to be. It has both its good and bad sides.

My vedic moon is Taurus,

vedic uses the constellations as well as 13 zodiac signs. my sun in vedic is aqua and in the pisces constellation. you can say vedic has more layers i guess. personally i’m not sure how i feel about vedic

Vedic: sag moon 2nd house

Western: cap moon 5th house

Hell no.

None of them?

Oh no no, I totally identify with my cap moon!

Cap mooner is nice. And you have sag moon to uplift you.

So you believe that both charts influence us?

I think yes, to a certain level yes with one chart being a major influence while the other being a minor one. Some people here say they do relate to their vedic moon.

In my case, I don't know, it is crazy at times. I read all the planetary placements of my western chart, they do add up. And in the vedic chart, when i do the same, I also find a little of myself in the placements. Reminds me of what @FishAndChips said, we can relate a little bit atleast to every moon sign if we look hard enough. So honestly, I don't know and I am no expert on this.

Vedic moon: Scorpio. I feel like it makes more sense for me than Sag with my value for privacy (but this value could come from other features of my chart such as aspects)

Finally a vedic scorpio moon! I noticed that scorpio placements has a way of letting themselves being felt a lot. Would you say you feel/relate to your vedic scorp moon more than sag moon?

My vedic moon is Taurus,

Continuing on what @besarlalluvia said, Each has its own system. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac and Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac. I think they are both correct in their respective methods and ways. I will say they are both valid. Take a lot at this:

http://horoscopicastrologyblog.com/2011/01/28/the-tropical-sidereal-and-constellational-zodiacs/

You relate to your Taurus moon? I'm libra moon vedic and can relate slightly.

I'm libra rising western and libra moon vedic. I have air element a lot in my western so I can also relate to being detached at times.

Its funny because my Vedic moon sign is the ruler of the house my moon is in in tropical.

For example my moon is Libra in the 6th house.

In Vedic my moon is Virgo which is the ruler of the 6th

I relate to both

I see, that's a nice connection. I have libra rising western and libra moon vedic. Some people mentioned they can relate to both and some don't have much difference between their western and vedic, so they have same moon signs.
