2011 DXP Awards?

Wonder if it's ever been done? A public acknowledgement of certain individuals contributions to this crazy ass website. If it sounds appealing then here's how I think it would happen.

First off I would like to sit on the sidelines just as the guy that brings out the award and not be considered for ANY of the nominations for personal reasons. Thank you.

Carefully consider the categories and who pops into mind that fits that persona to a "T". If you can't think of an individual, refrain from putting one if they don't epitomize that characteristic for you. To prevent any hardship among voters and nominees all votes should be PM'd to a third party to be tallied at the end and posted. Also since this isn't set in stone please feel free to add any categories I may have overlooked or if one seems too broad or narrow please advise.

Some possibilities are . . .

Most Optimistic

Most Pessamistic

Most Offensive

Most Humorous

Most Insightful

Most Sympathetic



Other categories that may need clearing up in the descriptions.

Most in tune with theirself and their life and path

Most Spiritual or in tune with a higher power and follows the Golden Rule

Most Paranoid

Most Crass

Most Cryptic

Most Overall Helpful

Best looking Male

Best looking Female

Most Conceited

Most Nosy

Biggest Instigator

THought of a couple more.

Most Poetic in their posts.

Most Diplomatic in posts.

You left out Sexiest. (Strings bats eyes.)

Sounds promising.

Though the delivery is where it would count. Like small groupings and having a poll that is tabulated weekly.
I would participate.

I was thinking of taking on the role of tabulator and just keep checking my in-box for new votes. We could pick a date in the near future and have people "meet" in a designated room while the awards are dispensed one by one. I was thinking of maybe finding a pic of a ribbon or trophy or something and the winners could let me edit that trophy into the lower right hand corner of their profile pic. I'd create the new pic and post it so they can take it and use it.

Just an idea for an example.

Maybe there is an external free polling website online, where you can put the top contenders?

There are plenty of survey sites you can use. Like, one that is always used for campus wide stuff at my school is survey monkey.

Survey sites, blah. Extra effort, blah. I've got a system in my head that involves me and my brain and my calculator. Results will NOT be posted daily to keep the suspense. I just need participants. If yall wanna see this get out there and promote this topic. You never know, you might have a web trophy next to your name to flaunt or not flaunt. VB lay it on me what you could do for a trophy? Okay got some nominations rolling in and some are just what you'd expect! Keep 'em coming so maybe your favorite person may win fame, glory or just some fake-ass trophy by their name 😉

It's not up to me P. It's an anonymous opinion ballet. Oh and by the way. Don't be so negative. You might want to show up to the awards ceremony Saturday. Somebody might've nominated you for an award. Whether it's good or bad or if you were truly even nominated for anything at all I'll never tell. But just a thought.

I'm sorry. That's not in my control. You may or may not have impacted somebody's life in a positive or negative way and they're singling you out for your accomplishments.
