What do you all think about it?

I personally love it. There is no greater way for a woman to show loyalty, than to be jealouus and fearful for loss of her man, often to the point of direct confrontation with the man himself or other women.
Perhaps it sounds childish but I see possessivness as clinginess with balls.

Also there is a difference between possessive and clingy, in fact my current girfriend is possessive but not clingy, I didnt believe these two were divorced until I met her.

That's my rant.
And I'm sticking to it.

That's fine LV, your opinion. But this isn't about jealousy. One can be possessive of something ( I own that..rock..mineral..house..and yes a person ) but that doesn't mean you are jealous of something.

Alright, one night I am over my Virguy's place and its about 10pm and his cell phone rings. Its his cousin's gf asking where his cousin is.(They are roommates temporarily). I did not mention it or comment. After a few more times of this happening, I had to say something. We were talking on the phone one night and I brought it up. I asked him why his cousin's gf keeps calling HIS cell phone when the cousin doesnt pick up? I find it odd that she feels that comfortable to call my guy's cell at all times looking for the cousin, etc, etc. As I am going on and on I realize that I am jealous! Yikes, I did not like that one bit. My Virguy actually chuckled and said "Well, you have nothing to to worry about as far as she's concerned." He actually liked the fact that I was jealous. Friggin annoying as hell he can be...

Ok, here's a scenario----
You are out with your significant other,a pretty girl starts flirting with you, shamelessly, so your gf/wife:

1. Pretends not to notice, says nothing to you now or later.
2. Gives the girl a dirty look.
3. Gives YOU a dirty look.
4. Snuggles up to you, taking your arm, claiming you are her man.

Which response would you want most?

Come on, thats not what I mean at all LadySag! of course it makes every guy feel ok when the girl sometimes shows a certain attitude of "this is MY guy" to other girls, but its a different cookie to have your whole confidence as a boyfriend depend on those things..pfff

thats it you as suppose to have your own confidence not wait for someone to build it for you its call self-esteem lol.

If a guy doesnt tell his gf (lets suppose she's overdoing the possesive/jealous behaviour) to lower it down, then he's just a selfish asshole cause he obviously is enjoying it as a selfish act without thinking of the girls emotional maturity. A boyfriend should ALWAYS encourage emotional maturity in hs gf.

Well, you are going deeper than I think he was stating originally. Crazy jealousy is another matter. He did say she was not clingy, only he loves the fact she claims him.
