She was going through a very tough time with the Gemini guy and she wanted to get rid of him and he is also her boss.

Out of the blue she blocked me.. my whatsapp messages are one ticks and my texts are green. We both have iPhones I don't wanna call her and seem desparate, She left the conversation without even saying good night which she usually does so this is highly unusual of her

This was just a transitional relationship/rebound/bandaid (as some others have said). Just let her go. She has unresolved issues with her ex that she has to work out on her own. Sorry it didn't work out, but at least you know about it. I think many people are very good at hiding these things and it sometimes doesn't come up until much later in the relationship when something is triggered. By then, you could have been knee deep in it and very invested.

One of our weaknesses is that we tend to get swayed by words so much because it feed our ego, true?

Now here's the thing, if you say you are into someone will your action match your words?

But this also applies to everyone. If they're interested in you, they'll keep you, they put on efforts. It's not the rule of the game, it's just plain logic.
Now I know your ego has been bruised, and you can't accept that. But don't you think by you pursuing this person when it's clear she wants you gone wouldnt hurt your ego more? I prefer to keep my dignity intact if I were you.
