She's busy with her family trip. Think of it this way, you'd be mad if you were on a trip with her and she's glued to her phone instead of interracting.

She probably realized she was being overly talkative and msging you and she backed off...not a bad thing. She doesn't want you to have the impression she's desperate or anything. I tend to get like this myself...like whoa, I'm being too much right now and need to slow it down. Majority of guys don't like a lot of talk and msges ... especially long ass ones.

I Definitely agree, i'm a virgo female and i'll say its a complete myth with the hot and cold thing, if we're upset we may need a couple days to gather our thoughts and let you know. But from what you're telling me it just appears she is busy with her kids and just enjoying time with them. I would wait til she comes back and text her something simple like "hey how was your trip? did you guys have fun?" and gauge her emotion through the text =)
