Virgo's True Compatibility
superficial interests and tastes) drew and held us together quite well all the way through most of school. But, when adulthood started to bud in, things started to change. In fact, all through high school there had been complications. We started to show our true natures, our true colors, what we're really made of. And, it didn't mix very well. Sure, we can have fun together... But, is that really enough? It is for kids, but that can't be it as adults. Grown ups have to be more selective and narrow their friendship and dating choices down if they want a happy, successful life. Compatibility starts to be quite important. Many people never properly learn this, which is why divorce is so common, but some of us do, such as I have.
Virgo and Cancer can get along, yes. But, we're nowhere near as compatible as we could be. In fact, I've come to realize that Cancers are actually quite disturbing people. They're all niceness, sweetness, generosity, concern, and fluff on the outside, but between that old friend and another Cancer I knew a long time ago... I've come to see that it's quite different inside their heads. They're actually total psychopaths. The kind whom need to be locked up to avoid their doing anything stupid and dangerous, maybe even deadly? That old friend often admitted to me that she often dreamt of killing and cutting up her own family, a family which was actually way better than for which she was crediting it. She claims to be this family devoted, family aspired individual, yet she was dreaming of killing her family at the same time. Clearly, the family aspiration bit is just an act and not who she really is. She also had a habit of writing bad hate songs. And, dreamt in black and white. And, while now she looks and acts yet more preppy (for work), she's surely still a total unhealthy nutcase. Yeah, so this is a bad match for a Virgo, since Virgos don't want their families killed and chopped into pieces... Nor do we want a spouse with such extreme issues hidden away. How can you trust a person like that? & The other Cancer I mentioned liked to go out and shoot random animals (cute kinds, like bunnies)(and, that reminds me, the Cancer old friend hates animals, too) with his BB gun, and was a total asshole, and basically... Of the exact profile who would eventually go into their school/work loaded with firearms, and... Well, it should be obvious what they're going to do with it. Considering Virgos are genuinely loving, family devoting kinds of people... They're not compatible. (To make matters worse, that same Cancer friend tried to say that I'm the unhealthy one, just because I'm introverted. WTF!?)
Likewise, Virgo and Scorpio can get along, yes. But, again, only at a superficial level, though they are, for the most part, a better match than Virgo and Cancer. (Virgo & Cancer fights = can go into literal fistfights, while Virgo & Scorpio fights are usually just verbal, with the exception being Virgo/Scorpio sibling pairings, who may actually get physically violent, though even then usually not as intensely as a Cancer and Virgo could get.) Now, I will admit these two can certainly get along, and when they don't they just bounce right back, but there in lies the problem. It is the Virgo that's bouncing back, after the Scorpio starts trouble. It's an unhealthy relationship, and if the Scorpio realizes what they can get away with... That's bad. My old Scorpio mate actually screwed with my relationships. Seriously. She clearly didn't want me to have a boyfriend, as she liked to do things that would keep me quite virgin. get really happy and confident when I'm in a relationship (even if I can't even get hugs out of it! Just knowing someone likes me does wonders!), to the point that gives me a huge attraction boost to the opposite sex. She doesn't have that; she gets into bad relationships that ultimately do the opposite of making her happy. And, she was already less attractive than me in the first place, which by now I'm quite certain bugged her. So, she liked to screw with my relationships. She made one guy dump me, and another, after being informed I was interested in him, she's now screwing despite having no serious interest in him of her own. How fucked up is that? (And, that poor guy is a fellow Virgo!) So, I'm very much looking forward to moving away from this state, and she is a huge part of why. Virgos and Scorpios can get along, but if the Scorpio has ulterior motives of any kind (which most do most of the time), the Virgo will become just another victim. These two form the classic "honeymooners" abuse relationship that they warn you about in dating safety lectures in high school. And, this is far from the only Scorpio I've known, so don't bother saying this relationship was some kind of exception. There is only one Scorpio I know whom I never have trouble with, and she's a Libra-cusp, which makes her much nicer than the average Scorpio, less likely to pull those kinds of tricks. And, that is an example of an exception to how things generally work.
So, as I've established, Scorpio and Cancer are definitely not the most compatible signs to Virgo. (Though, they're not the least compatible either.) So, who is? That's easy. In actuality, most of us are most compatible with those of the same element as us. So, the real high compatibility triangle Virgo lies in is one that can simply be referred to as the Earth triangle. The Virgo, Scorpio, Cancer triangle didn't have an obvious name like that, further proof they aren't really that similar. The true highest compatible signs with Virgo... And, I found this out the hard way due to all these books and websites giving that same old wrong triangle... The zodiacs I best get along with are... Capricorn, and Taurus. Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo are the Earth compatibility triangle. They will not be anywhere near as happy with anyone else as they are with each other. Hell, I even get along better with Leos, Arians, and a number of others than I do with Scorpios and Cancers. How funny is that? Of course, those individuals I also wouldn't want to end up marrying, since I'd rather have someone much more suiting, such as a Capricorn.

And, both of those fore-mentioned cuspers happened to have started being my friend in the same timeframe, which was the same timeframe my old favored friendships started to seriously, officially fall apart... There was even a third cusped person, a male I grew quite fond of. (Why'd he have to go and be an idiot and ditch me for no good reason on spur of the moment? WTF was that about? Almost no mistake I ever made in regards to him was anything he hadn't already made first.) I still find that quite weird. Three cusped companions coming into one's life in the same time? The Gemini-cusping Taurus was basically my best friend (I even fell in love with that bastard), and I'm going to blame his stupidity on the Gemini cusping, which probably is exactly what was wrong with him. And, by now, the Libra-cusped Scorpio is my best friend. Hopefully she's not going to leave me over something petty, too. I'd probably grow quite bitter if she did... And, I'm already on the bitter side as it is from my first two best friends, and then that hypocritical swine that should have realized how much I cared for him... Hopefully, I can get over these events before another comes my way. If the Fates will permit... Please?

My Daddy was a Gem.... I loved him!!! LOL!!! But, hey he ended up cheating on her and the later divorced... sigh..... the dual personalities of the Gemini!! Mom was a Virgo too.... so.... more fuel for that fire on the compatibility of those signs!
I do have a bf that is dating a Gemini man though... shes a Taurus and boy does she keep his ass in check! Maybe thats the key to a Gem... put him with a Bull.... she'll stomp the crap out of him in no time!

I'm 90% sure most of the older Virgos will totally dismiss the Capricorn being the best claim though. They all had their fair share of Capricorns and hardly a good story to relate.
I personally can't speak on the issue though, the only Capricorn woman in my life is my mom and with her attributes, I certainly would not marry a woman like her.

I'm a virgo/libra cusp and I would have to agree in part with the writer of the blog that was posted. Cancers are very strange people to us. I used to know one Cancer guy, and he'd share the most bizzare and scary kind of stories with me over the phone. Maybe he was making most of this stuff up, but if he wasn't, he belongs in prison. For example he told me how he had sex with his 12-year-old babysitter and she was the one who wanted it. Even so, he should have been the adult enough (he was 35) to stop her. And he told me how he would pimp out his wife to his friends and co-workers in order to get a job promotion. Then, he wondered why she left him to be with another man. I think it's kind of obvious. This is just some of the sick and disgusting stuff that I could never understand.
Sadly, I also agree about Scorpios. I was friends with one woman. At least I considered her a friend. She, however was looking for any kind of way to sabotage my relationship with a Taurus. I'm actually, sincerely happy for him. He deserves to love and be loved.

He was ok to me when we were alone together but in front of his friends he acted like I was some hooker who for some strange reason didn't leave after the sex. We never had sex because I guess he wasn't that into me. I helped him pack up his stuff for a move and he treated me like crap. Then, I found out he was a cross-dresser. I'm sorry but that's the kind of drama I don't stick around for!

I find that I work best with Tauruses, although most of my relationships with them end abruptly. There were two other cases when I was with Tauruses. One of them admitted to be mentally ill and stalking me on the internet with some kind of software, the other turned out to be married. Which of course he didn't tell me upfront. I don't do married men if I know they're married.
I hope I didn't offend anybody here. Those were just some of my experiences. I don't really label people based on their zodiac signs. In reality, I don't know what was influencing them to act the way they acted. Stars could have very little to do with it. Well well, this is pretty acurrate...to an extent. I have never liked cancers, something about them irks me I'm sorry. My bff is a scorpio, and even though we have times where she get's on my nerves and won't take me ( a virgo) seriously, I love her, she's my nee-chan. ^.^ I also have a Gemini bff, she's a tough one. We're so close, but get her around a large crowd and you'd swear we didn't know each other. She's my nee-chan as well though. I also have a Libra and Leo friend, and we get along famously. My boyfriend is a Sagittarian, and wow, I would never have guessed. He's been more serious about me than I am about him from the beginning (cautious Virgo guarding her heart, lol). But he's never lied or been unfaithful (my BS detector is ALWAY going). He even said I love you first. (I still have yet to have said it back, lol). The point of all this I guess, is that zodiac signs only do so much, because individual personalities come into play as well. But overall, once again this was sort of accurate

I have seen virgo-air couples. It seems that the virgo men are attracted to the detachment and intellectuality of the libra, aquarius and gemini woman. But, I rarely see the pairings work long term or at least in a healthy way.
That is, these are not the happy couples.
If anything, the happiest and successful pairings I have seen are virgo-virgo, virgo-taurus, virgo-scorpio, virgo-cancer.

Thanks for the posts guys! I am back from my weekend with Mr. Virgo (this is our second weekend spending actual time together) and things went well. Looks like both of you may have some good points. Im still holding back a little with him though. I would be lying if I said I didnt still harbour some feelings for my recent ex-Pisces.... and he still texts me everyday with words... but no action... so its a bit hard to let go even though I have moved on from the relationship.

Hey I'm back. The sex is amazing what can I say. haha I don't know. I still insist Virgos and Leos get along pretty darn well. I've had a LOT of virgo female and male friends. I never really usually attracted to Virgos...at all. I just happend flirt a little, "go with the flow", and the attraction began. We are pretty darn happy. 🙂 The chart thing looks interesting! My parents are Virgo and Cap ended it horrible horrible divorce. He (Cap) was constantly competing with her for success. Love each other but didn't work. He's married to a taurus now. Though I love Caps, they need someone that will cleverly and tactifully act as their superior while making them believe they have the upper hand. Taurus is good at this because they are strong yet sneaky, and they are very dipolomatic. Think of it this way most of the time when a Taurus makes a comeback/insult at someone he/she leaves the person wondering whether it was intentional or a joke. They are very emotionally balanced and can make you feel as if you are in control when in actually they have tactfully/patiently planned their grip on you due to their determination. Virgos like to serve they usually give their all and don't demand as much, they need someone who will appreciate their services and need them. When Virgos insult it's through criticism and Caps take criticism as nagging. Caps insult through hurtful jokes, and comparing their success with the others' failures, Virgos take this as a painful battle/challenge. Caps are also extremely flirtatious, possessiveness in Virgos hate this. Virgos are extremely friendly, posssessive Caps take this as flirtation. Caps usually don't feel like they need anyone, and they find it hard to appreciate things from people because they are proud of their own wonderful accomplishments. Virgos need to be needed, appreciated and understood in a caring manner to progress and be happy. Caps need to be left alone while having the security that you are there for them when useful with unspoken understanding in order to progress and be happy. Don't get me wrong they are both strong, caring, and wonderful individuals but they have completely different needs that do not complement each other.

The fact that any virgo would give Scorpio that much credit is interesting...Yeah I will admit that it is possible for them to mess some things up but to think they can do that much well that needs to be knocked down just alittle.I've known more than enough about them and you want to get them way to much credit.Since I know they can and do cause problems for others.Yet I also know that once truth that they can not change becomes true usually stops them from being the problem causer.

like everything else it depends on the rest of the chart.My Virgo wife and I get along pretty peacefully and the sex is wonderful .I'm a Libra with Virgo rising , she's a Virgo with Libra Venus . we share conjunct mercury in Libra and conjunct both our Moons are in Gemini. She can get cranky and insecure , I can be accused of being flirty with other women and unbalenced but we work it out . I have noticed that my Virgo gets along best with other Virgos !! no surprise there !
A lot of astrologists dont even get the signs right so i can't trust them with advice on compatibility. I remember a book on astrology a long time ago (hopefully it is out of print and not spreading further lies) where it said Virgos are best suited to be a secretary, nurse, accountant, or service job that doesn't require leadership or too much unpredictability.
Not that there is anything wrong with any of those occupations, but the author didnt know a thing about Virgos.
Every Virgo female I personally know is in a creative field, NOT in the service industry. Does anyone think billionaire Warren Buffet is a serving kind of guy?
Virgos Richard Gere is an actor and Michael Jackson was a singer. I know far more water signs in the serving/helping professions than any Virgo.
There are very few astrology websites or books who get it right.
Virgos are discriminating and analytical and picky. And yes, sensitive to slights, thinks more and feels less. We are not impulsive. We come across as polite and classy, because we edit our thoughts before spewing out the words. We have a problem with spontaneity because we think before feeling and acting. A few of us enjoy being helpful and like to serve, making us no different from any sign on the zodiac. The rest that is touted to being Virgoan is pretty much rubbish or overgeneralizations.
But definitely not lacking in creativity. I have known creative types in every single sign, from Ram-bunctious Aries to the steady Taurus. Creativity is not the exclusive domain of the water signs, sorry. And leadership is not the exclusive domain of fire signs either, contrary to misguided astrology definitions.

Okay, so... I've been noticing in this past year, as I become more familiar with the zodiacs and their compatibility (or incompatibility) that there is a lot of compatibility/incompatibility misinformation out there. I actually had to delete one horribly off site from the Wikipedia Virgo article's link list. Clearly, it was the idiot who made the ghetto-ass, incorrect astrology site who linked it, and they just randomly did so without anyone's approval or support. I mean, that one was so horribly bad, that... That may have been a Troll. (Internet Slang: Troll = Person who intentionally says/posts things in attempt to get a reaction. Synonymous with Flamebaiter.)
It used to be that most every source, books included, seemed to state Virgo is most compatible with Scorpio and Cancer, as are the other two with each other, in a triangle of compatibility. Because, as many individuals can probably tell you, that's wrong, now it seems to be becoming quite common to find other claims of what signs are most compatible. I mean... It's good that they're trying to get to the bottom of this, and figure things out, but some of these people are not qualified, at all. Most of the zodiacs are people incapable of working astrology themselves; they're completely socially retarded. I don't mean they can't talk, I mean they're clueless in regards to humanity. They don't know anything about how people function or why, so how could they possibly be able to determine which signs do and don't get along? They can't even tell what people they're compatible with, so WTF?
In regards to the old claim that Virgo is most compatible with Cancer and Scorpio that is now thankfully being questioned by others... Here's how it's wrong. While we do get along, to an extent, it's only to an extent, at a superficial level. How do I know this? Because I'm a part of an ex-friend triangle with a Scorpio and a Cancer, myself being the Virgo. Things fell apart, and of course they did. As kids, we were so much more superficial, and just befriended whomever we befriended, and what superficial similarities were there (some shared more superficial interests and t
