Seems odd to me, too ... and I know for a fact that my Virgo husband doesn't have an alter ego. However, it seems very normal to the Virgos here .... and when I wrapped this concept around my head and then measured to Fairies being insulted because they like men and being called, "abnormal" for it ... well, you know me.
I felt compelled to smack this right in the face.
You can't have an altered ego, and then call someone else abnormal 😄

Source was considered .... then 2 other Virgos piped in to validate it. And of course MJ is now a God, so if he had one then it's gospel.

I agree virgoking, go and look at some of MJ's old unauthorized interviews, he has one where he is at home, talking about escapism and disneyland, and he does a beautiful rendetion of a song for that classic peter pan movie.
Then when his sis LaToya comes and talks to him, he toughens up a little, drops the fantasy talk and even calls her and idiot!
But i don't care, i woulda taken MJ and his "peter pan" ego anyday back then!
What the hell is all this about, I missed that thread?? You know what though I know a few vrigo guys and thinking about it they have said they have alter egos too!! I think its a bit weird personally.

The mystery that lies behind the Virgo male's alter-ego
Lets delve into a comparative analysis of the Virgo Alter Ego
* My parent is known to everyone as sweet, kind, organized,generous,sympathetic,intelligent and caring.(Lets call this personality A)
* However, I know, my other parent knows, and few others, that in fact she has an alter-ego or can be also known as another personality (lets call this personality B) , which is fussy, coldly critical, brutally unsympathetic, money pincher, a bit selfish, arrogant , horribly messy, and a bit of a nag.
p1-Virgos have two personalities A & B(their alter ego)
p2-Personality A is dominant while B is recessive
p3- Since personality A is dominant this is the personality that the Virgo always displays to society first.
p4-Personality B has three forms of surfacing called "The secretive method", "The Defense method", and "The Dependence method"
Scenario: You invite your Virgo friend to a social mixer where groups of both of your friends attend. At first glace Virgo assumes his position as Personality A. Virgo will politely engage in pleasant conversation. They will then make sure that everyone has a drink at hand, if someone needs it, they feel more than happy to go to the bar, provide it for them, and be of service to them. The table is messy they will attempt to wipe the table off so that everything is clean and orderly. They help the organizer of the mixer start some fun icebreakers and using their intellectual skills believes that a call for trivia is appropriate for the opportunity given. Jim does not like this idea, in fact he thinks trivia is quite trivial and opts out of playing. The others decided they'd play. Kim curses every time she loses, Tanya spends time texting to her friends awaiting her turn, and everyone (meaning Virgo male) needs to continuously escort Nancy away from the cocktail bar when it's her turn. The night went on, and everyone decided it was time to go. Jim had left approximately 20 minutes into the trivia game due to boredom. Kim begins to argue with Tanya for her disrespectful attempts to consistently text throughout the whole game. Kim also believes Tanya might have been cheating. As they argue Kim curses away, while poor confused Tanya continues texting, in reference to the tension between the two girls, to those on her top five list. Betty knows of all the persons that had attended the mixer but was unable to attend. Betty is a trusted friend of Virguy for over 4 years. Though Virguy personality seemed pleasant, others assumed that Virguy IS a pleasant person, sweet, sacrificial, honest, and caring. However, it is between Betty and Virguy in which the secretive method will serve as an awkward compliment to the personality that they had formerly portrayed. A new personally emerges from emotions that have been bottled up throughout the night. Emotions which were bottled up by their more dominant personality, personality A. There new emotions, this new type of personality which surfaces is called personality B. Lets Regress back to a short analysis of Betty and Virguy with personality B.
*Hypothetical conversation between Betty and Personality B Virguy*
Betty says; I'm deeply sorry I couldn't make the social mixer. Was Kim there?
Virguy; Eh it was alright. Yes Kim was there.
Betty; It sure doesn't sound like you had a good time.
Virguy; Well Jim didn't even want to play the game, he's so weird. I mean it's just a game. I just found that really strange. Maybe he is lacking the brain department
Betty: Wow I'm sorry to hear. What about the others?
Virguy: Well I thought it was definitely rude of Tanya to be texting the whole time when we were supposed to catch up. This was supposed to be a social mixer amongst old friends. I mean seriously why was she even here?
Betty: Wow, that must have sucks.
Virguy: To top it all of Kim was cursing up a storm every time our team lost. Can she even speak without using such vulgarity. Does she have turrets or something? I felt a little appalled by that. She definitely seemed like a sore loser to the extreme.
Betty: I see
Virguy: The only one that I was mildly bothered by was Nancy. It was a bother that I had to keep bringing her back from the cocktail bar every single time it was our teams turn. Did she really need a drink at that moment? She could have waited a little while jeez. I actually started to feel a little worried because she was not able to stand alone by herself. I escorted her to the car and dropped her off at home.
Betty: So you got to spend time with your cutie Nancy?
Virguy: Well I'm not even sure. I don't have respect for what she has done. She should have regulated the amount she was drinking so that she could be in a position to walk herself home, without me having to
The Defensive Method
The conversation continues with Betty and Betty aggravates Virguy
Betty: Well maybe you should have attempted to involve Jim into the trivia game or played something more entertaining much like a beer drinking game. Nancy wouldn't have gotten so intoxicated if she would have been limited to drink a certain amount according to a drinking game.
Virguy: If Jim does not want to involve himself, that's his problem . That has nothing to do with me. I can't control Nancy either that's her life and she makes her life choices don't try to blame me for this. Especially in a situation when the concern is over me having my fun and not looking after adults like little baby alcoholics that can't stand rejection.
The defensive method also arises during circumstances in which Virguys are confronted by acquaintances.
Scenario: Virguy and Nate are discussing euthanasia. Virguy is for euthanasia and Nate is against it. Virguy feels attacked at a certain point of the argument as he can see that those surrounding him hold the same viewpoint as need. Virguy proceed by claiming that he feels he is being attacked, may succumb to yelling, makes cold remarks, and begins to become critical to other??s habits to prove his point whether or not those bad habits were relevant.
The Dependent Method
Lets go back to the relationship between Nancy and Virguy. Virguy has been for some time extremely cold and critical to Nancy.
i.e. Nancy; Lets go have some dinner
Virguy: Have a specific place in mind?
Nancy: Whatever you would like.
Virguy; I'm asking you. Can't you make your own decisions? Independently?
Or
i.e.
Virguy: Have you finished your project on integration?
Nancy: Not really, still working on it.
Virguy: When are you planning on finishing it?
Nancy: Sometime soon.
Virguy: I don't think you are trying enough .You really need some focus.
Finally, if the two persons do not understand each other this could very well come to the point of verbal abuse. The former Virguy statement needn't be negative but rather encouragement that may possibly feed Nancy??s drive. However personality 2 is not evolved in communicating these things in a non-threatening way. Although they may mean them as words of encouragement the word can be portrayed as a demeaning statement.
Personality A is perfect. Not one, boy, girl, woman, man, can resist the warm, compassionate, helpful and cheerful sides of a Virguy. Publicly the Virgo is adored by all. His calm collective laid back attitude marks him as a quietly endearing intellectual.
Personality B is the primal. Primal in the sense that there are major tweaks to his inner thinking that have been repressed for such a time that these inappropriate annoyance are unleashed either in secret (to a close friend) or in public towards a hopeless arbitrator. Another remarkable notice is that the Virgo seems to project their anger regarding their own insecurities on others. At times they do this so well, that the picture they had painted begins to become realty. If Virguy could only get more in touch with both of their personalities and accept their own insecurities they may live happier lives with out mental chaos (due to the fact that the are very nervous and worrisome)
When Personality A and B unite they will find it a lot easier to live life how it is supposed to be lived. The disconnection between the two just arouses depression, loneliness, anger, difficulties and in the long run separation from society
i.e. Society loves Personality A, if you can painfully continue to unrealistically paint the world with your personality you may be successful with your intrapersonal relationships.

If not the people you meet will have this unrealistic romanticized vision of you, and they will feel deceived once you have slowly but surely decided to reveal you most inner Personality B. Many people call that —being fake?? Nevertheless, you can not call someone a con, when their actions were unintentional.
