Hey Guys,

I am in the process of switching careers ie. chossing an apprenticeship. It seems to me that Interior decorator is currently my only option. I was hardwired for aesthetics

and architecture since day one. I loved the movie sets in old bond movies. Its just I am scared shitless of not having financial stability, second it will be automated away.

I just dont have the dna for risktaking. Plus I am 30 now so everybody else has put in 10000 hours. I love working with my hands and being able to move around. I am a 100% sure, I want to be an entrepreneur eventually, but my aversion for spreadsheets and coding

is so HUGE. I follow silicon valley thought leaders and I NEED TO LOVE CODING, cause its the future, and its always interesting hearing them talk about Trends and creative

problem solving. How can taurus be creative and security minded at the same time ? FUCK THAT! How did you reconcile that?

No risk no reward.

I left the security of salary to be a commissioned based and it ended up being the best decision I could've made in my career thus far.

I'm also absolute shit at the bs of invoices and sending bids etc. and hired someone to do this and more after the first year. Now I can just price things and focus on managing and creative side of things.

My value isn't really in my design eye or in my creativity or anything like that. That's all replaceable.

My true value is in my relationships with clients and other professionals in my field. Referrals are more powerful than any advertising scheme.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't stress about how much or little experience you have. Its the connections you make that will feed you. Who you know over what you know.

Signed,

Taurus Ven
