I wouldn't say give up necessarily. I'm not dating or anything, I'm just doing me like I did before I met him. It's a cliché but it's true, life is too short. He made his decision and I respect that, nothing more for me to do at this point. Would I like us to be together? Yes, but I don't put my life on hold for anyone or anything. I believe in reciprocity so if someone wants to walk beside me as my partner, they'll be treated 10x better than they could ever have imagined, but if they don't see me, appreciate me or value me, ok, I wish them all the best.
