I'm just here just for the hell of it. No specific reason anymore. I'm done with astrology.
The place slowed down when the site crashed and the website changed design for ad placements. Then the fire moons that lit this place up cannibalized each other and burnt up.
The moral of the story is avoid fire moons for long term relationships.
We must remember two different dxps lol I first came in 2009 and it was so much worse in my eyes. It was never truly an astrology place but I did meet some interesting ppl. I love it much more now because its more open minded. Back then, Cancer men had to be made of crack cocaine lol Scorpio was a big draw. Libras were loathed in every way. There was some astrology talk here and there but it seemed much more like a cult thing back then. And ppl would have threads of at least 10 pages filled with arguments. But this was 2009. I like it much more now. Its more spiritual and ppl do comment on my astrology posts. Its just hit and miss these days

Yea, this place is 25 years old. I often wonder how it even exists anymore. I thought for sure it was over years ago when it went down for weeks. Yet it came back up with a new algorithm.
If you want the deeper truth it's because dxpnet is less needed as a toxic outlet. If you remove the controversy, it slows down. I don't even think the algorithm removed it either. People just flock to Facebook or other big platforms to have a warped opinions. There they have a better chance other people with an equally warped opinion will completely validate them by liking their post. That use to be dxpnet, because 5 or so years ago people hardly did that shit on places like Facebook. Now it doesn't matter. Instead of disliking some freaks opinion and arguing on dxpnet, people can now learn to dislike their aunt who is spewing nonsense on Facebook. Or some random person the FB algorithm has sent them to. Almost all controversial people left dxpnet, thus it slowed down. There was a long period dxpnet thrived on mostly toxic fumes. Tbh I think it's better now.

I noticed it as well.
Example:
the user known as Don Johnson. Was an asshole, and posted some threads that were racist af, not to mention a few threads that were TOS violations, but people flocked to his threads like flies on shit, including a few perpetual virtue signallers. The flies were thriving on the drama, and throwing gas on the fire.
I would just shake my head at the stupidity, and at the idea that the "flies" lives were so bereft that those threads are what they lived for.
The only bright light in that sordid affair was when Don picked a fight with user Nikkistar, where it involved Don posting some TOS violating threads and she returned in kind. Watching that jackass figuratively slink off with his tail between his legs. I'd be lying if I said I didn't take some enjoyment in that.
I agree with your comment about the direction of where FB has gone. Its why I left FB--too toxic.

Rocabar is now expensive to buy as it's discontinued.
I had cool water yeah. Everyone in my batch wore Issey though. Some acqua di gio or Michael Jordan cologne and polo sport. A men never took off here. Maybe we didnât have mugler in the country yet.

Then when Duncan or whomever maintained this site, reformatted the layout dramatically in 2015. It became less of an old school message board, lo-fi no special
effects with almost absent moderators, to a pseudo social media with likes and a front page with comments. DXP lost its edge around that point.
The last time I recall DXP having a bunch of new users turned regulars was 2016. After this point you might have a few individuals stick around for good but I donât think it will generate enough engagement to keep DXP going for too long.
The average age today is probably 36. Ten years ago it was 25 with a healthy mix of older heads, parents, divorcees, middle aged users and a younger high school and college aged crowd.

Dunno. It always slowed down in summer. But there isnât really a replacement for that, at least not for me. I donât like the other social media stuff.
