Aqu Dad
I'm a pisces with an aqua father. But I think the main dynamic in play here is that he's trying to catch up for lost time hence the overbearing thing. Let him know to chill a bit. A bond isn't gonna happen overnight.

He was always good at making me feel special. Very loving. He was pretty cold physically with the rest of of my brothers and sister, but I wouldnāt have it like that so I was always asking him for kisses and hugs, and he couldnāt say no to me.
Really good at telling me histories too.
He was very independent, but I am too, so never a problem. Always on the go, but he was happy to bring me along.
He was never strict to me, and didnāt ask much. He let me be. When I moved out to another country he never made me feel guilty for not visiting or calling or whatever. Just happy when I did.
I will say distant but loving. Typical aqua š

i know some aqua dads can be overbearing/ overprotective. they can be either this or the other kind of dads, the ones who leave their families to return years later. an aqua dad will want to be respected. and if he doesn't know how to command it, he will try to impose it. tell him he should stop being smothering. that you can look after yourself. talk to him as if he's your friend, not necessarily your dad.click to expand
Do you think that would offend him? He already gives me the impression that he thinks im "disrespectful"... He either thinks that or hes demanding his respect or proving his fatherhood

Now that ishhh is crazy and overbearing. He was like no make up no painting your nails nothing, because he didnāt want me to attract any boyfriends.....sorry dad I didnāt need makeup and nail polish to get guys! š š¼
Then their was the whole if I talked on the phone past 9 I got it taken away....so I started using the home phone once he fell asleep so that he couldnāt track my phone bill and id stay on it all night chit chatting it up!
And god forbid if I used the internet or wanted to go to someoneās house with out parents home. Whoooooo weeee, I had it bad.
Then I left far far away from him and became a stripper because I felt free and all the girls had beautiful hair and makeup and guys and drinking and no rules it was AMAZING. My poor dad, Iām sure he wanted to kill me for that.

Iām a cancer I know itās not his fault heās crazy heās just been through a lot. His mom died when he was 5(everyone tells me Iām her twin). She died from drinking and driving after she found out my grandpa was cheating on her. Then my grandpa married the other women and that women abused my dad and his siblings pretty bad, my grandpa got on drugs.
That lead to no one taking care of or looking after my dad from a young age....thus once he had a child aka me he was like well no one ever looked after me so Iām goimg to be a hawk with my child.
