Understanding Aquarius and Emotions
Aquarius individuals often experience intense emotions internally but may struggle to express them openly. Their detached nature can lead to running from feelings instead of facing them. I'm not an aqua but have had dealings with a couple over the years. I've noticed they seem to fight with the intensity of emotions they experience. Maybe its because it's unexpected, and they feel they are not in control of it.
One guy actually said to me he tries not to get attached, which I found an odd thing to say. Considering a few months later emotion was clearly something he was feeling.
Yes the emotions can be so intense, it's a sense of losing control.

Huh yeah. I just find it weird how Aquariuses do that. Like, when someone acts independent and whatnot they get super attached. Like... they get needy despite how they act when someone is needy towards them. So why wouldn't they just try to find someone who they can really latch onto, ya know? I think I could be that person when I'm more mature. Shrug.

What is the Moon sign? The sun is weak in Aquarius. So much it gets overwhelmed by the Moon and its aspecting planets.
You mean what is my friend's SUN sign? My friend has an Aquarius MOON sign. Taurus sun?
This topic isn't necessarily so much about said friend as it is Aquarius in general.

Yet it is weird and confusing. I'm quite independent and guarded emotionally so maybe this is why he started feeling that way. But never said anything to me, so not something we could have talked about.
Eventually he decided it best not to see each other anymore. Nothing a conversation couldn't have solved.
I totally agree that sometimes the intensity of emotions can be overwhelming that we go into a shell. It is difficult to be with people when you are not in control of yourself emotionally. We only confide in people with whom we spend a lot of time and gain trust (complete trust ideally).
I absolutely like to be with people who are independent by nature. It gives us a sense of freedom which is important to our happiness. Mind you, we give lot more to such people too.

So true for me! When I first fell in love, as soon as I realized I asked for space lol. It was so overwhelming. If we're not serious I just disappear for sometime.
Until I accept my feelings, whether it be strong infatuation or love I will be a mess trying to suppress or replace it.
I'm usually intense with fire signs. Their non-clingy nature, lack of emotional fragility and independence, make them very attractive.

The funny thing is, I TRIED being detached and independent... It just led to her saying I marginalized her?
I'm not a very emotional person to be honest. I'm not even normally emotionally fragile. There's a difference between severe mental problems, and emotional fragility. Plus I've healed a shit ton in that regard and only continue to heal. I don't know if it applies to my chart, but my MBTI Type. ENTJ, is actually more renowned for actually being considered ruthless and shit. I feel like on some level I might be attracting her. But then my emotional instability fucked things up recently and she left. Sooo — on if she'll be back, but regardless I have to focus on healing myself the rest of the way so such a thing doesn't ever be a problem again.
My midheaven is Leo. So my Midheaven is a fire sign. I think the midheaven becomes quite relevant in a person's maturity.

Like I have an Aquarius Moon friend who I can kind of tell she is RUNNING from her manic emotions more than anything. My question is, why is the attitude always to just go along with it? Why wouldn't it rather be, that you try and help them feel OKAY with expressing these emotions and whatnot?
My little brother is Aqua sun and Moon and he represses so much of his emotions its not funny, mind you he is a very talented Artist and it all goes into his work.......People can store their emotions if they want but its gonna come out either way, whether its a school shooting or Art it always comes out in the end and thats what makes the world go round.

This description of how you deal with things like this makes me think about my situation in a different way to what I did before.

Why would you try to be detached? Either you are or you're not.
For me it's about control....and I don't like people playing games with me or being something they aren't. I can feel it and when I do it just makes problems.
Nonono... you see actually. I'm sure this will make all the Aquariuses jealous. But I /have control over my emotions/. I can even change them, as long as I see reason to. I only get hung up because of a lack of closure. If things had been explained or I had the chance to try and make things right. I would've felt better even if I were to fail the attempt, than had I not gotten the chance at all.
But anyways the point is. I CHOOSE to be attached. I can switch from genuinely attached, to genuinely unattached. Probably has to do with my Leo Midheaven.

you know,this section of dxp is interesting to me lately, OP you have a point. Only Aquarius'es have I seen to go completely nuts at losing someone by blocking the person and removing pictures on social media,etc,etc. They come off quite aloof but then can be very shocking not by showing emotion but by doing things that show being clearly very affected. It's interesting,it justgoes to show we all have different ways of handling emotions.
Yeah the Aquarius moon who left. She blocked me and left over the smallest thing. I just wish she'd come back if she feels that seriously about it. Isn't that reason to get past this? But no, they handle it by detaching. They detach BECAUSE their shit is intense and they detach /fast/.
