do you find yourself UNCOMFORTABLE with people who are inconsistent??

I sure do.

how do you feel and in what ways do you see someone when you see they are inconsistent with their actions and words.

that it doesn't match up.

I feel really really uncomfortable.

for example, i'm with my husband because he is CONSISTENT, I see him as sure and consistent as the sun rising and the sun setting.

it depends lol there's a thin line between consistency and predictability. Someone who is consistently showing interest - yes but a person who consistently lacks variation in keeping my interest - no.
its not anyone's responsibility to keep someone's interest.

if a person isn't interested in keeping you "up to date" then well you need variety all the time. Dissatisfaction.

Me and inconsistent people don't match up but there is a lot for me to learn from them. Such as, how not to act like them in a situation, or, when being inconsistent is actually a good thing.

Say you're stuck in a rut at work or generally just have been doing the same thing over and over again and getting bad results. My old golf swing, for example. If I hadn't changed things up, and tried new approaches and swing style s, it wouldn't have improved. Still needs improvement but it's better than what it started with.

However, there where things inconsistency is not good. Showing up either late or on time for work is one of them. Consistently showing up on time for work is a good thing.

I'm sure I can think of more examples.

A balance between the two traits is the theme for my post.

well bsmurray if you can hold down a job for YEARS, they do expect you to show up on time and NOT fire you because you're late more than once.

and that thing with golf swing, that is just common sense. You don't keep hitting the same huge bump over and over again with your car causing the bottom of your car damage. you find the other way to go over the bump so your car doesn't get damaged.

or you call the city and tell them they need to smooth that down.

Consistent isn't exactly an Aqua trait. Although Lis, I swear you are more Cap/Taurus than Aqua. So LITERAL.

However, I do know that Aqua's dislike fake flakes, wishy-washy people. We dislike people who don't commit or follow through.
Agreed.

As an example, if you say you're going to come over, but never show up, that's flaky and I don't like that. Basically, don't say you're going to do something then not do it. Pet peeve.

nobody likes that.

who does—

that's why make NO promises. if you can come by, and it's possible you can then fine.

but don't say I will be over, just say you'll TRY.

(that's in a scenario if they ask you to swing by and you are on your way to that direction to pick up something but might NOT come by)

but weirdly you can call on your phone and say it's not possible.

my husband is LITERAL.

if he made plans he goes THROUGH with it.

he doesn't expect me to come with him though, if the plans are made that it's not family related.

if it's just his friends going out and he says, he's gonna go to an event and if I wanna come. better be ready.

he never expects that from me. but from himself he is STRICT.

he is more easy going on me. maybe because he knows me deeply.

but when it comes to family events anything important,, I am going no matter what.

I need to be surrounded by consistent ppl because im so very inconsistent, I swear I need to be put on ritalin, ive never been diagnosed for inconsistency, its all to easy for me to knock over sand castles after ive built them just for the sake of it, im entropy personified
Gennie mentioned that below that consistency isn't an aqua trait.

I remember you have a stellium in aquarius, trine your libra too. 7th house?

you would be kind of bored after awhile if you were around kind of boring/consistent people.

honestly I think you would.

try going to an old folks home, they will teach you consistency. and spend hours there a week, maybe work there.

just a suggestion in maybe looking for consistency.

Depends on what we're talking about.

Relationships: Well first they don't progress much beyond just someone I know until they've shown that consistency

Work: Consistency is a much of over at least 90% of the time (I'm a boss though)

but generally speaking no.

The wonder comes from the inconsistencies in my opinion. When we're dealing with relationship dynamics, between friends, lovers, acquaintances etc I prefer transparency and honesty so if anything consistency in that.

E.g. you're being a dick today... why? oh you stubbed your toe. All if forgiven but man the fuck up.
