Does it Matter If Your Partner Doesn't Know How to Cook

It is not essential for a partner to know how to cook, but shared cooking can enhance relationship bonding. Communication and understanding are more important than culinary skills in a healthy relationship.

I like to see a man in a pinny doing his kitchen chores. I did have one boyfriend who was very good at cooking but we'd end up eating at midnight which wasn't very practical! But really I like to be in charge in the kitchen. I'm best when it comes to stirring, whipping and beating...the eggs that is πŸ˜‰

And in my kitchen I'd have Primegen mopping the floor, haffo would be chopping the onions, branh0913 would be measuring all the ingredients on the scales. Once you give these guys their task in the kitchen they'll be too occupied to be able to give any of their lipservice.

Hey everybody!!!

OOOOO a thread about cooking πŸ˜„ One of my favorite subjects. Well, cooking is something very essential to those who understand the importance of it. I don't care for dinning out all the time ... very rarely would I even opt to do so -- as a wife that is.

If my husband didn't know how to cook, I wouldn't consider him a useless man ... but I would wonder what on earth stopped him from learning β€” Cooking is one of the basic skills that you are should know ... take out food can have negative effects on the body if done too often.

GL ". (I also think that people should know the basics of car repair, too, but many women I know, do not.)"

Good point there. I am actually culprit here. I gotta brush up on my motor maintenance.

To answer the question, my husband SHOULD know how to cook but if he doesn't ... I would blame his upbringing. However, cappysweetie shall have her husband in the kitchen with her so he can at least learn the basics ^_^. So if he does't know, it not a big deal πŸ˜‰

Well, in all honesty if I'm doing all the cooking then my husband better know how to do other things around the house"

Laundary
Vacuuming/dusting/windows
Lawn care
Fixing broken pipes and so on

HAHAHA OH HECK YEAH! Cappysweetie doesn't want a lazy husband πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ NO WAY, I refuse to be one of those women who has to put up with her husband just wanting to:

go to work
come home and eat
Watch tv and screw me
Go to bed

OH MY GOODNESS NO! Men have to understand that there's more to being a husband besides that.

Personally, I like cooking ... when I have the time that is. This is the only thing that sucks about being an undergrad, no time to cook actual food. However, I'm am managing my time better so I should get some free time to prepare meals again. ^_^.

cooking can get to be a hassle though, not enough time to do shit sometimes, and even chopping an onion feels like hard labor for me if i'm tired

Hahaha, that's so true ST πŸ˜„

Well GL,

That has got to do something πŸ˜› He just can't sit on his behind all day and watch me do all the work. He is suppose to be a man for Pete's sake πŸ˜‰

Hahahaha, most men want slaves for wives anyway so I just may end up being an old maid πŸ˜‰

Nope I refuse to be an idiot πŸ˜„

Yeah but the really great chef's tend to have a nasty temper. It must be part of their creative flair or something. Nah I like just casual good cooking with a glass of red wine. Actually I've changed my mind on the stew, it's gonna be some veggies stir fried with vermicelli pasta and then feta cheese stirred in. Yeah that'll defo be faster. Cos I've found myself going to McD's a bit too much of late....

BUT!!!!! I will not continue to rant on men ....

THERE ARE SOME "ladies" THAT MAKE ME ASHAMED TO CALL MYSELF A WOMAN!!! 😒 I mean, they are pitiful ...

they can't take care of bills *** gasps ***
they can't cook
they can't do laundary
they can't mop
they can't garden
they can't vacuuem
they can't iron
they can't wash dishes WITHOUT A DISHWASHER
they can't do a darn thing for themselves *** cappy shakes head ***

Hahahaha, they can bearly wash their own hair with some assistance. hahaha, they are so cluesless with everything .... however, these are the women who can definately get married ... but afterwards their husbands are clueless as to what they know how to do.
