Understanding Aquarius Communication Styles
Aquarius individuals often value clarity but may interpret messages differently due to their unique perspective. Misunderstandings can occur if tone or intent isn't clear. Being precise and avoiding sarcasm can help improve communication with Aquarians and reduce misinterpretations.

Misunderstand is not exactly the right word and I'd guess many might find offensive. Myopinion is Aquas often misinterpret. I suspect this is because they are by nature very abstract thinkers and so their brains automatically take incoming information and process it very creatively.
Or they think very logically.
I remember one time I was talking about traffic or something and I said "OMG there was like a BILLLLLLLLION cars on the xxx freeway"
And aqua had eyebrows raised and was like "a billion? That's kind of impossible." They weren't even joking...they thought I was serious.
I'm like omfg...
Maybe I'm wrong.
I don't know but it practically happens in almost every conversation lol.
I think the problem isn't that they mean to misinterpret but you have to understand that the Aqua mind moves at 100 mph. So in any conversation they have, they take your answer and analyze it in 100 different angles (in less than a second) so they're wondering from which angle you're coming from. Trust me, it's not a lack of comprehension, rather, an analytical situation.

LOL it all depends on the Aqua. I am currently in a relationship with an Aquarius guy, he's a totally adorable handful. Some days, everything I say is taken literally, other days not at all lol you just have to go with the flow, be easygoing and chill. Keep the conversation going and don't act awkward regardless of their reaction.
So.. Information communicated is intended one specific way, then the Aqua processes it 100 different ways and chooses to assume an angle the other person perhaps did not intend... Does this explain why Aquas often appear to make assumptions? They see all the possible angles but choose to assume the one that makes the most sense to them as the reality?
Mystified, I think that Aqua may have assumed you were really dumb enough to believe there were billions of cars on the road. Lol

I'm very gullibe, so gullibe I'll believe anything you tell me even if I know it's not true on some days. I remember when I was eating sultanas out of a container labelled 'dried almonds' and my reactionw as
"oh so this is what dried almonds look like"

I completely agree with this. If my Aqua had a bad day, that's when he gets kinda snarky lol if he's in his normal cheerful mood, he understands exactly what I was trying to say and plays along or replies. If you have a lot of Aqua friends ( your totally lucky, first of all) then you'll just have to learn to read their moods and you'll understand why they're responding a certain way.

He knows i'm not dumb lol. He often says I'm smarter than him...which is very humbling of an aqua to do it.

No this was in the middle of a conversation. He was neither annoyed or charasmatic. We were just talking.

He's very sarcastic (not every day maybe half the time) and I know when he is. But that particular conversation he thought i was being serious. He is like this with everyone, he's misinterpreted what they said and they had to reexplain things too. It's kinda funny.

Cool :-) Well I would just say to never believe he doesn't understand what your saying, because when you speak, he's following your thoughts. Not only that, his mind is going down all the different POSSIBLE paths your conversation might take. I also think that he was being sarcastic, even though Aquas are very honest, they will also "test" you. 😉 Just sayin...

I've seen an Aqua pretend they don't know something just to see how patiently someone explains or how boastful they get about the knowledge they have. Just be yourself, that's basically what an Aqua wants to know, your personality.

Just when you guys are thinking we over-analyze things... nope.. We're just thinking of a hundred different ways of sounding smart.. or sarcastic.. or both haha.
My guy has Aqua Mars and he absolutely does things (sometimes shocking) so he can observe how people will react. I've read that various Aqua placements like observe peoples reactions in this way. To me that qualifies as testing.

Aquas don't mean to be rude but sometimes they can give that impression because they're very blunt. That being said, if they interrupt, it's probably because the thought you're trying to get across, they "went there and already cam back". LOL I don't know if I'm confusing you more but what I'm trying to say is that their mind moves at incredible speeds, they take what your saying and already know how the ENTIRE conversation will go.
Does that make sense?

The trick is to talk over them and talk louder and pretend what you're talking about is more important. I have 4 friends, couples in fact, when we're out for dinner it gets real loud real fast.

My Aqua and I can talk for hours, during all that time, we can go through 50 different subjects, no joke lol. So if they cause the subject change, it's just how their mind works, not that they're doing it to annoy you. On a side note, if you have several Aqua friends, get used to it lol just take it in stride, it's not personal, trust me.

My Aqua and I can talk for hours, during all that time, we can go through 50 different subjects, no joke lol. One of my sisters is an aqua. She's not necessarily like that. Though when she does talk she can get super long winded on ONE subject to where I stop listening and zone out.
But usually with male aquas, those are the ones that I see that talk excessively but about 50 million topics.
By the way I know 3 aqua males and 1 aqua female.
The males are all similar in some respects: Weird, goofy, talk about many things at the same time, dont' know what they mean half the time. Super friendly too.

Granted if HE was in the conversation. But he wasn't in the conversation in the first place. He'll overhear me talking to someone we both know and he'll walk up and just interrupt and start taking over and then distract the person with another topic. But sometimes it comes off as rude.
I remember one time I was talking to Aqua friend's friend (also an aqua male) and we were talking about what I did last summer (2013). It went like this:
Me: So I did this and this and yadda yadda daksdjf;sakdfksd
Aqua Man #2: Oh really? Exciting! Who else was there, your family?
Aqua man #1: (Walks up interrupts the conversation and looks/talks directly at aqua #2): Exciting, with your family?
Aqua Man #2: My family? No we were talking about what Mystified yasdkjfasl;kdfjsa yadda yadda
Aqua Man #1: (Changes subject)
Kinda rude and it happens alot LOL.

yeah...i have no problem changing the topic when i find it uninteresting...or standing up and leaving...or starting a conversation with sb else [social media included]...or just watching the world around and paying no attention to you....or....or...or...
