Jealousy

I got called jealous the other day by someone and I was so shocked and now I'm plagued by the thought that I may be jealous of my little brother. My brother and i grew up close as anything and I taught him everything he knows from his first words to how to fight he even draws the same things I draw, we even sound the same. We were so close that even my mum was jealous of our relationship that she would use money and bribery to weaken our friendship??_..anyway I see my little brother as my best friend and I support him like crazy, he is an entertainer / club promoter and I design costumes for him and help him in so many ways to make him the best??_.so when we get to his friends??_.they are so stuck up his ass because they believe he can get them on the stage or make them popular and its really getting on my nerves??_..I hooked up at the club with a guy they didn't "approve" of and they have given me shit since it happened and I don't care because i like him and he is nice they even say they get jealous of me hooking up with hot guys that aren't even in to them and they think they have ownership on that person or me. but they carry on and make fun of me and I brush it off. Then one night i got drunk and snapped at them because they were giving me shit etc etc and my little brother took their side and they drilled me and had the nerve to say I was jealous of my little brother and now I'm pissed off at my little brother and not talking to him because he agreed with them??_..I'm just so pissed off lol because I've read the definition of jealousy a couple of times now and I'm not jealous of my brother. it just hurts because we used to be so close and his head has gotten so full of shit that I don't know him anymore??_.I have been jealous in my relationships when my exes cheated on me and shit down to my core??_..but how could I be jealous of my little brother who I raised and have been given so much joy out of seeing him succeed— I hate jealousy in all its forms and jealous people??_..most of all I hate people who call other people jealous when they don't even know that person ??_.gahhhh!!!
So this is a rant but also would like to know two things
#1 As an aquarius are you a jealous person at all? if so in what ways are you jealous?
#2 do you think Dogs get jealous?

I'm an Aqua Dog and I do get jealous.. as well as protective of those close to me. I just always caulked my jealousy up to my scorp rising.

Honestly, I don't think you feel jealousy of your brother- I think you are hurt by him or more betrayed. He chose them over you and mocked you it sounds like.

I'm only jealous when I'm in love & I mean, REALLY in love. I hate the feeling of jealousy though, so I don't stick around for long with a man that awakens negative feelings in me. I know I'm skating on thin ice the moment I start to feel jealous lol...it means I'm in too deep & it's time to get my feeling in check.

I also dislike jealous people, especially when in a relationship because I know myself & I'm not the type that cheats, so I don't need a jealous man that makes up shit over nothing. I can't stand that nonsense. My motto is, trust me but ofcourse *I* won't trust you 😛 I have double standards lol.

ANYone can awake negative feelings in me.

Just yesterday I was just walking to the supermarket, all covered up in long coats, scarf, gloves, it's freezing wind out there. Then some freak guy in a bike comes up and says how cool and beautiful i'm looking today and started grinning.

I got PISSED!!

At first i was calm...said ok, nodded and tried to move on...

then he kept talking to me and smiling.

Finally, I pointed to my wedding ring. See that buddy? GET LOST!

He just smiled, held up his hands and said, just saying no need to get angry.

Alot of men in this world have no respect!

Oh...I told my husband and he just laughed.

well said guys when I asked about dogs i didn't mean astologicals dogs i meant pets??_..My mum bought two little dogs since me and my bro left home and now she's playing the jealousy game with them when one does something wrong she will feed the other one in front of it as if to teach them something and she gets a kick out of it and I think its fucking sick..

I try to deny sometimes that there is jealousy in animals I really dont know??_??_.I just think that jealousy is such an evil word and don't want to be associated with it o

Sometimes others see things that you don't see. If your jealousy is sub-conscious then of course you can't see it.

Unfortunately, perception is reality. For some reason your folks perceive you as jealous, probably based on certain things you've said/done in the past. And even if you don't have a jealous bone in your body for your brother, they'll still believe that you do b/c perception is reality

Jealousy to an extent is a natural human emotion just like anger & sadness is. There's no doubt that some situations/people draw jealousy out of you. There's nothing wrong with it unless/until it becomes unhealthy and/or starts to interfere with the good flow of the relationship/friendship

Sounds like your brother is going through that young & dumb phase. He's at the clubs, with the alcohol, with his hype men (friends) & all the pretty girls & he's loving the attention he's getting even though he can't see the fact that most of the people riding his azz now probably do have hidden intentions & def. won't be around the minute he falls from grace.

Don't take it personal though. Everybody goes through that phase at some point in life where they just wanna be young, soak up the attention & not be judged by the more older crowd who's already outgrown that phase. He sided with his friends b/c they're like a tag team. He'd much rather offend you (someone who he knows will be around & have his back forever) vs. offend or go against the grain with them b/c their attention is more important to him right now than yours is.

It's the typical sibling rivalry thing. 2 people grow up so much alike, but then 1 day it's like they're oil & water & they take it so personally that it starts to make the gap b/w them even wider. Just let him get through his little "phase." He'll be back. Trust me

Yes animals get jealous, my cats fight for my lap, who gets to lay next too me etc..

Dogs will do the same , they crave attention from their humans 🙂

My dogs compete for my attention. Have to maintain equality.

When I was training them to sit, I had a bunch of left over hot dogs. One was sitting and getting treats and the the other couldn't comprehend what he needed to do to get a hot dog. It was so sad because he looked so hurt and beaten and disppointed. Made me feel bad. He finally got it, though, so he did get his share.

OP, I'm curious if your mom did a little bit of that with you and your brother when you were little.
