Mercury (Gemini and Virgo) but Gemini is QUICKER, faster, mobility is his/her calling card. He/she can run in and out of the underworld as fast as lightning speed.

But Uranus doesn't rule the mind. Mercury does.

Also Uranus is a generational planet. Modern astrologers say Uranus is a higher octave of Mercury because it rules progress and technical advance, which is a consequence of individuals with great intellect (Mercury).

Lisa, sorry I dont get that^^. Explain the octaves. Look, neptune is a higher octave of venus. Venus = love(libra) & neptune = true love/deeper love (pisces). So, if mercury(gem + virgo) = thoughts then that means uranus(aqua) = surpasses gem in thoughts as its highter octave.

BSC, I get all that, what im trying to understand is the connection between the 2 when it comes to thoughts. Mercury rules mind right then why pair it up with uranus?

I agree. Modern Astrologers see "uranus" as the chaos/breaking rules. It's only GOOD for when a society has fallen into "corruption" (in a general way) When the corruption is too much, Saturn ALLOWS Uranus to come in and take care of business.
That is the positive side.

Mercury is loved by the "SUN" (being so close to the sun) and the SUN must "know" to shine a light (because without knowledge, we would be in the dark ages)

So the SUN turns to mercury to help those, (Because sun is the bearer of NOBILITY) and mercury runs/flies like lightning and goes to PLUTO, to take secrets, and help those who are in NEED.

That's basic I guess. But Pluto has many more secrets, and it's not a wonder it is at the edge, closer to the edge of universe.

Even those with dominant Gemini in their chart has this strong ability.

Uranus is the result of many brilliant minds put into action. Without scientist and people who are bold enough to take a great risk, human progress would have stropped a long time ago.

Uranus has little to do with an individual's thoughts. That's because Uranus is a generational planet, not a personal planet.

In simpler terms... Mercury (mind) originates Uranus (change on a great scale).

We all take from each famous author, each famous screen-writer, each famous poet, every musician who has inspired us.

We use it to make it our own, from our own personal experiences.

J.K Rowling was ostracized because people accused her of taking from other writers.

Even George Lucas was told his was NOT original. (Star Wars)....what matters is that it's their OWN experiences/ideas.
Not to be STOLEN because it is THEIR own.

You can take an idea or an imagination from "Mythology" and then sing hit song that can make one millions over Pandora, or Apollo, or Athena, but we all know it wasn't original.

I was thinking that Gems are easily influenced by other people's ideas and thoughts. They don't want to take the time to research something for themselves and draw their own conclusions and opinions. They will listen to what other people think and incorporate that into their own opinions.

And there's no such a thing such a absolutely original thought. Many famous inventors took their ideas from nature, plants, animals, etc. The will to "create" something new comes from within, though.

BSC, Its an original then because the things you mentioned dont speak and nobody looks at things ie nature etc & think the exact same thing. The idea comes from the person looking at the thing, making the idea original imo.

Nobody even does face to face communication any more? where is the warmth and the joy? People are getting dull and rather than spending time with families everybody is getting more 'distant" and "detached" in their own rooms. family barbques are a thing of the past.

Well, out her in the boondocks, us country folk still like to throw a little pork on the grill, sit around with family and friends by a fire and talk face to face and watch the kiddos play in the sprinkler and chase fire flies. So, yeah, people still do that. Just gotta make an effort.

On a universal scale no I don't think originality exists but isn't that the beauty of like minded people? Individually it may be unique and original to them but there's a bit of truth in that we are just bi-products of our environment.

As en experiment back in college a brief was sent to all major design colleges, the data was collected few years later and it tracked the progress of students from different parts of the world, some collectively and some individually. Some had references some didn't but funny enough the pattern was that there were striking similarities when it comes to meeting that particular brief.

So is it a question whether originality exists or the fact those who were acknowledged first are deemed the originals?

God damn it I need to stop writing in question form.

Honestly in a way I feel trying to discuss this is not beneficial because in the end whats the point. All I can say man is part of what you guys have said I agree the other part I agree to disagree with you 😉

Mmm. Originality?
Well, in my opinion theres a solid connection between ideas and the experience.
We have our sensory system that collects and recollects any information from everything that materialy exist as an object.
We collect the datas of the object with oursensory items that we are human called the five+one senses.
The senses give us the perception of the object informations about how it looks, how it tastes, how it smells, how it sounds like, etc.
And then all of that next would be called as experiences.
Then, how do we know if the color is red, the taste is sweet, etc?
Where are the ideas of red, sweet, hot and cold came from?
What if we don't have any senses to collect any datas from any object around us?
That question would dragged us out to the concept of the perfect knowledge of the forms that we actually have in our thoughts before we even exist.
Thoughts is independent to our body, i believe that thoughts is a component of our soul.
And neither of body nor soul we creatin by ourself in the very first place of the creation of us to be a human.
Theres must be the biggest, the most original existance of knowledges that gave us all the basic experiences of any forms in the world.
Overall, those experiences we've got around is a part of the "ingredients" for the "new" ideas as the output of the process of the thoughts.

if someone asked me why we were associated with a water sign well then id say that all the air signs rule a different part of the sky we as the highest evolved air sign the most outer atmosphere layer the magnetosphere because its electric and cold and far from the reality of earth.....then you have librans that rule the ionosphere and thats where pretty auroras come from becaue they like beauty.....and then u have whatever atmosphere for gemini's that has radio waves bouncing in cos they love gossip and communication......now the age of aquarius of aquarius is like a prophecy about a time when our spirits will ascend and we will become more evolved.......to me its plain to see that the heavens are gonna open up global warming is gonna melt the ice caps and the age of aquarius is going to teach everyone a lesson.....there for quenching everyones thirst for knowledge......that came off the top of my head last year it may be wrong but all it takes is an idea to manifest anything.....and ive been finding I've been manifesting alot of shit lately
