Although I have no problems with aries and have many in my life (cancers as well) I'll contribute my cancer opinion. It is humorous that you are writing a thread about whining and being a bad friend when you are essentially doing that exact thing...besides that, I personally don't share my inner feelings with many people, only those I trust. Which is only a few people. Of the cancers I know, they are the same. I also can sense whether someone is genuinely listening or gathering information. The main thing I've noticed (and what I value and love) about my aries friends, is that they are blunt and honest. That being said I am sensitive, so they are rarely the friends I go to for emotional support. My only question about the scenario is why didn't you tell them what you were really thinking? and to stop whining? I'm sure that's what they were expecting when they were telling you in the first place, trusting that as one of their close friends you would listen and be honest with them. I have noticed this is a more common aries woman trait (no offense!) to be put off by someone and shut them out, where as a man would just tell their friend to shut up and stop going on about it 🙂
Wow, this forum makes me a bit sad. It makes me sad that you would make such generalizations for all cancers when you have only met a handful, and maybe the wrong handful at that. It is true that some of us are selfish and maybe a tad bit more emotional than people would like, but to judge us all on the same standards is not fair. I am not sitting here arguing about how some of these posts are wrong, but I would just suggest for any of you who had bad experiences with any cancer individuals to still keep an open mind for other cancer people.

My husband is an Aries and I am a Cancer; I think it is the earthy signs in his natal chart though.
He has sun in aries, moon in libra, rising gemini, venus and jupiter in taurus, mars in capricorn.
I have sun in cancer, moon and ascendant in capricorn, venus in leo, mars in gemini and jupiter in libra.
I usually don't find myself around aries men much and he's the first aries guy I dated and eventually married. I feel more in tune with him than the so-called compatible signs to my cancer sign (if we go by sun sign only). We are both doers and express feelings that way. I drew his portrait for valentine's day and made a gift basket from scratch. Every gift item had a special meaning and represented something. He made my valentine gift with his own hands too. He knows I love wolves (So does he! We have that in common). Anyway, he is following pottery/glazing classes and I was so touched when he showed me the wonderfully painted and carved pottery he made for me. He even worked on an angel figurine for my mom. I am happy that he seems to fit in right there with the family. He's very sweet and not bossy with me. I cannot speak for all aries men because I haven't had as much exposure to them. I did know one aries classmate and he was like the guy with a harem around him. A bit intimidating for a cancer woman. My aries guy is more of a home buddy... I mean the guy cooks for me! I have some food allergies and intolerances and he goes the extra mile for me. He won me over that way. Also, we have a special bond. I referred to him as my teddy bear when we first started dating and then discovered he has a bear tattoo as well as a wolf tattoo. He calls me his oracle because I often dream of things related to him and I can sense when something is wrong.
Some things I have noted with my aries guy. He checks up on me. If I am busy and did not reply to his texts or calls to my mobile while at home, he'll call my home phone. It is kind of cute because he gets annoyed if I do it. Cancer women like the attention anyway. He's very protective, impulsive, and unpredictable at times. Almost every time we have a spat, he will tell me he won't talk to me. I go silent and back off. Not even ten minutes after, he'll come to me himself. Sometimes though, I go toward him even when he's angry. He comes around fast. He listens more than he talks and i sometimes feel like I'm broadcasting my own radio show. He's good with kids (his sissy's) and that's good enough for

My Aries wife checks up on me too but I like it alot. Even though I am a 100 percent loyal its still nice that my Aries gets jealous, that makes me feel like she feels other women would want me which in return makes me feel like I am special to her.
With other women I felt taken for granted or that they were obsessive. The Aries woman is confident which makes me feel like I am a catch to them. I may have low self esteem but I dont want someone who has it as well lol.
Overall I think Cancers works excellent with Aries as long as the Moon and Venus are more watery. Like someone said earlier, all the cards are on the table and no guessing what everyone wants in the relationship. Very freeing to a Cancer.

Well I did a lot for the Aries I went out with. I cooked a lot too. Bought him beer. I would bring it to him. I even made my grandmother's upside down german chocolate cake. I cleaned out his flower beds (got poison ivy all up my arm from it too) and when he had his hobby of working on cars I'd let him be and if he wanted to contact me he will. Last time I saw him was almost 3 months ago so I'm still trying to figure out what I did. He's the one that kept saying "we were just hanging out" then asked if we're "still cool" if I wanted to move in with him. Then nothing. I also sent him a funny metal band Christmas sweater. No response. He's an awesome guy and I hate to lose him but I have to respect his choice. Of course i'm not going to stalk him. Are you crazy?! I avoid some areas around work during lunch afraid I might bump into him making him think I was tracking him down. No way dude. So yeah the Aries and Cancer thing. It's so hot at first but then as fast as it started it fades to nothing but confusion and loss.

Funny, my ex mother in law is Aries. She's manipulative and a compulsive liar. She's also a gossipy harpy and she talks at the top of her voice. My niece is also Aries and is also manipulative and a liar. She's also a huge attention whore. I'll give her props for not having stage fright, though. I also know Aries who might be very outspoken but are also incredibly caring and thoughtful, who have integrity and will go the extra mile for a friend. He was ALWAYS complaining about something someone did and the fault was always on the other person. Or lets talk about eating out of house and home - everytime I went grocery shopping he would EAT all the food straight away. If he wasn't hungry he would invite his friends over for a feast. Or how many back rubs or back scratches he needed. If you want to talk about someone who thinks the world revolves around them, ARIES is the one. Oh, and did I mention his lies? Constant lies. I wouldn't say they all suck any more than any other sign. They have assholes just like all the rest since being a jerk is universal. But I will agree that the negative traits that can flare up if they don't get a handle on them are LYING, MANIPULATING, USING, ATTENTION WHORE. My ex mother in law and my niece are both Aries and they both have the negative traits in abundance. I also know some wonderful Aries people who are full of integrity and a real joy to be around.
