Who owns guns?

Looks like I lit a small fire here. Passion I like. Restrictions (and vulgarity), I do not.

It seems to me that one of the more unfortunate aspects of modern society is this increasing general contempt for guns and hunters. What do you need that gun for? What do you need to hunt for? "The police will protect you" and "you can go buy your food."

Let me know how these hit you up.
-You grew up in the city (or wish you did) and generally have no idea what useful purpose guns could possibly have.
-You have never hunted anything for any reason, because hunting just does not make sense.

Like it or not, humans are a part of nature. Many people like to remove man from nature. It is easy to do these days. We have (or as you will say, *should* have) ethics and morals. We live in heated and air-conditioned homes and drive cars to work. We communicate on a vast network known as the internet. Who needs guns and hunting anymore? They are now a vestigial piece of our rudimentary past.

Hack it off.

I believe that guns are one part of what makes America truly great. To me, firearms represent freedom. They can help you get it, and they can help you keep it. It is absolutely amazing to me that we now feel, apparently, that we just don't need them anymore. I believe in remembering the past and keeping it alive. Guns and hunting are a huge part of what made this country great, and I hope it will continue to be kept alive by tradition loving, God-fearing Americans.

You passionately believe that you are "in the right." This message will not likely change that. I wonder, who made you God? That's correct. You are a human being. I am not, and will not, be judged by you.

It seems to me that people with capricorn sun/moon are often the PETA types. Do you really love animals? Or just restricting other people?

(It's very hard to see that from your viewpoint, isn't it.)

Yep I believe you, and that's what worries me.

I trust people to make the right choice. You do not.

I don't think everyone should carry a gun. You should have that right, however.

I fear you because you fear my guns. I very much fear the government that fears my guns.

An armed society is a polite society. I believe that.

You love restriction (capricorn), I love freedom (aquarius). Guess we'll die that way. Hopefully I'll still have my dern guns.

I'll try to be less "killing stuff all the time" and you try to be more "trusting" okay?

😉

Have a few rifles and a crossbow laying around but a scorp,my boyfriend hunts in which WE eat, geez, buy your cat some cat food for christ sake MIA,its healthier for them anyways!Do you know how many diseaeses, worms and other parasites they get from eating birds?

They're good to have around being as I too live around too much violence and people know not to fuck with me.However I don't think I'd use a gun if anything did happen,im better with my swords, throwing daggers or knives, chinese stars, etc🙂

AB,I agree with you too, shotting animals just to get your rocks off is stupid and will kill anything protected or not, cat, dog, whatever but speaking for REAL hunters,it helps keep the animals from starving from overpopulation due to almost zero natural preditors cause people fear them. Can't fix what's been done already unfortunetly😢

Chinese stars? Holy crap Tiamat. That's awesome.

As for pet food, my cat is a 16 year old farm cat, which I'm guessing kills 90% of it's own food to this day (does that bother anyone?). My cat has eaten cat food maybe a few times in 16 years (hard winters) and done extremely well. I've never really thought of factory-processed cat food as healthy.

But maybe you're right about the birds, with west nile and the bird flu. I've seen dead birds around here in weird places. Gophers, your number is up.

I shot a DE as well. What caliber did you shoot Brahn? I shot a .50AE myself. It did have a rather healthy recoil, but it wasn't really killer. The blast made me kinda flinch.

Aprilbaby, you live around violence and hate guns, but how will you be able to repel that violence when it gets too close? Afterall, a bullet travels faster than a finger can dial 911. If you are scared of guns, then you can get something small like a .22.

Someone told me that in Aus tralia guns are completely outlawed, even for law enforcement. I should look that up; I'm sure it's not that simple.

If it's true though, I wonder what their homicide stats are.

Anyway I am 100% with Aprilbaby - shooting animals (or people! lol) for sport is, in my opinion, wrong.

I've never handled a gun or even been close to one, and I've never had the desire to. I don't get what the "thrill" is. "I could kill someone...I feel powerful...I'm trying to make up for how not powerful I really am in this world..."

?

Until we outlaw them entirely though, I can understand someone having one for protection. That's all, though.

Originally posted by Mr. Negative: Glocks are easy to load. But I hate them too. My favorite is deffinately the magnum.

Which caliber and which make and model? If you want a magnum automatic you can get a Glock 20. The 10mm Auto is considered to be a magnum cartridge. If you want even more power you can get a Glock 21 and put in a .40 Super barrel. Put in an extended 25 round Scherer magazine and you have yourself 25 shots of near .44 Magnum power. 😄 I want to get one soon.

I have about 40 various guns that I inherited from my Grandfather. They are locked up in a case and only get taken out to drool over their value. Some shotguns and pistols, but, mostly rifles.

Remington 12 ga. pump, Winchester 45 cal. repeater w/oct barrell, 410-22 over/under, a couple M1's - 30.06 from WWII, several db 12 & 16 gauge, S&W .32, Colt .32 double barrell Deringer, to name some off the top of my head, there's Marlin's, Springfields, different gauges and calibers.

But, my favorite, and only because I think it looks cool, is a .22 ca. 12" double barrell pistol w/ target scope . . if I took the scope off, it reminds me of something a cowboy in the old west would use.

The only guns that get used are the two bb guns.

Posted by mercinaries (heh, clever): "i shot a shotgun before, that was cool.
i wanna Five-seveN, that illegal gun with the armor piercing rounds, yeah!!!
but definately, cz g2000, 19 round, double-sided clip, small sleek and deadly, kinda like me."

Where do you live? Also, you can't get armor piercing ammo for the Five-seveN. If you want a pistol that can shoot through kevlar reliably buy an AR15 pistol like a Carbon-15, OA-98, etc., or a Kel-Tec PLR-16 and load them with SS109/M855 ammo. It has a steel nose in the bullet that allows it to pass through a vest as long as it doesn't have a steel or ceramic ballistics plate, plus it holds 30 shots.
