Isn't it interesting that the two most successful signs in mixed martial arts are Libra and Cancer...the two that people would probably think of last after reading their astro descriptions.

You're misguided assessment of the Crab's considerable powers is most laughable! Weak and passive? Only a fool would tread carelessly into a real cancer's path looking to wage war, and fortunately for most scorpions they are not so reckless, as neither are crabs to rush recklessly into a conflict with their watery brethren. I have four planets all in cancer (sun, moon, venus, mars). My rising sign is also cancer. Ask anyone who knows me however and they will attest to the fact that I am by no means the stereotypical blubbering, hyper-emotional clingy type often associated with cancers. On the contrary, I abhor such weakness. What I do possess rather is a tremendously thick shell and when it comes to hiding my true intentions and feelings, I use it to a great advantage over my adversaries (stone-faced is perhaps not a descriptive enough term when describing my default expression). I am also unimaginably, incredibly patient. You can strike at me repeatedly and I'll just hold my ground until you are physically, mentally, and spiritually exhausted and give up. I hate the idea of fighting before the blows start but love it once it's on. I try to avoid violence whenever possible and have a lot of self control in trying to diffuse a situation...if it has to turn into a fight I experience a special kind of joy.

As a martial artist I am often the guy that wants to turn it up a notch in sparring and see what were both really made of. I don't have any desire to hurt the other person, just to live in the moment where the danger becomes real.

There is few greater moments in life than those that follow being cornered in to all or nothing.

As for ordinarily-involved, outward dispostion between the two, I would say Scorpio possesses what would be considered more in-control, even dominant, in comparison to Cancer's possibly reserved, even passive-aggressive outwardness.

In personal experience, and honestly in rare occasion, what sets the two apart in a physical confrontation is, as others have mentioned, the emotional/personal offense/intensity involved.

Scorpio does ordinarily live a life with some power and status obsession on the forefront. Cancer, too, but in a more limited and less vocal way, as it often described -- naturally involved more with the familial/personal involvements of their reality.

A fight with even moderate significance may seem a limitation to activating a crab's latent potential; it needs to really MEAN SOMETHING CRITICAL -- this is part of the crabs less power-absorbed social profile.

But if a "true" personal or family (most strongly, the child of a crab) conflict is engaged to a impasse, Cancers can become a DISTURBING physical embodiment of the very will to ''eliminate'' -- resulting in uninhibited, fully-engaged purposefulness of removing from existence that which they have found to be jeopardizing integral parts of their personal selves.

I'm not saying it's a certain win for Cancer in that matter, and it is with tears, i'd bet, Cancerians understand what I am saying -- the violence beneath an otherwise always seen ''shell'' one will deal with, if they enter a crab's hidden world, is a very unfortunate side for anyone to see.

Cancer will, with every purpose in its very life essence (ego not involved), do all that it can to kill you. KILL.

Every cancer male and female I met were weak, all bark no bite.. So I'm waiting to be proved other wise? I've met a lot of scorps that were the same way but its small in comparison to the ones I do know who are silent and surely pack a punch. Emotionally and physically.

I'm with Scorpio on this one. Like I said I've only ever met weak cancers in the physical world.. And "badazz" cancers on the intenet Lmao. The talk on the Internet gets real big

in my world, if they are dominant fire (i dont know the dominant airs but i bet they are similar) they are very very competitive. But for some reason, it's a competitiveness that is not "overt"-- they want to get the best this and the best that, but don't brag about it, they just go out and get it. if they dont have the money or resources, they will work for it. it's that aggressive competitiveness.

i think earth too is like this, physical energy, strong and steady. Kind of like taurus (fixed focus)

Cancer-Leo cusp here with scorpio moon. I've always been able to beat scorpio into submission. They are intrigued by cancer and cancer are the only ones that don't really back down to them. Cancers know how to manipulate--our trick lies in the fact that we seem sensitive and soft (which we can be) however we can bounce back much easier and quicker than scorp. Plus Scorpio is very afraid to let people in but cancers can usually move past their defenses, we know exactly how to hit them where it hurts because they let us in which they don't normally do with most people. We are not afraid of the sting and once your force a cancer to come out of their shell to contend with you--all hell has broken loose. we aren't natural fighters, we do it for survival and as a last resort so we hit you with everything we've got. if a cancer "loses" it's simply because they've chosen not to fight. You really have to push us to that point. As for me, well my influences make me more liable to exact revenge against scorpio as well--it's damn well a fight worth seeing because i'll never stop. and with cancers obsession with the past--i'll never let it go either.

But she eventually pull me to the side with her eye watering apologizing which I believe was another manipulating tactics. Especially if they are not getting the response that they want because they are searching for weakness in a fight.
I know I alot of scorpios..most of there outburst come from some deep emotion, they are able to turn there pain into anger.
Most cancers I know are only emotional to people they care about. Random people are nothing to them. Not saying they can't get there feeling hurt but they are able to shut down quickly when no feel in void .
