Venus Rx deals with repression of love. I find Venus retrogrades take love and relationships more seriously but they hurt more too

Your rx doesnt have to be unfavorable. You just dont like nurturing and affectionate people, the people you fall in love with are probably all a bit snarky but still friendly and they have a teacher vibe to them. Youd go well with another universal sign or someone who has that as their dom sign (Pisces, Sag, Cap, Aqua). Personal signs wont easily make themselves available to you (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer) they need a lot of reassurance that youre not comfortable with giving. Fatal attraction kind
You might enjoy carrying wisdom/lessons of past relationships more than actually being in a relationship and you have to be surrounded by beauty or youll get depressed lol so your attraction to interpersonal signs(Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio) is high. I don't know if I don't like affectionate people, but it's super hard for me to return the favor. When I try, it always feels insincere and forced, being something I'm not. I'm naturally realistic---sometimes crossing over to cynical and pessimistic. My humor is often like this, and some people think I'm hilarious, others think I'm too dry or dark.
I think I could do well with Pisces or Aquas. The latter is like the opposite side of Saturn but still Saturn, I think we get each other coming up in the ass end of winter. All the Sags I've tried to date found me boring lol but I went on a date with one Thurs, she was not like a typical Sag outside of loving the outdoors. Was more boring then me haha. I like fellow Caps as friends but I feel like I might need a little more emotion from a sig other to balance me out.
Little/no XP with Aries. One Cancer I dated years ago was into me and I her, but I came on too strong. I attract Gems a ton, but I find them too flighty and no substance. My sis is a Taurus and we get along great. Have had some romantic/sexual encounters with Tauruses, but I think they sense I'm even more earthy than they are.

I'm in love/hate relationships with Libras. I fall so hard for their beauty and charm and general positivity, and I think that they fall for my solidness and silent masculinity. But, they're so flaky, at least the ones I've dealt with. Want a relationship but when everything is not perfect match-wise, they start to get scared and don't want to work through difficulties. I feel it has the great potential to be a power couple, but is often toxic.

I personally haven't, but I'm not willing to rush and give up everything to obtain it, either. I feel like it'll come when it needs to, and that'll probably be in my 30's.
I'm not disillusioned to finding the perfect person, either. I don't believe in a true love story and it agonizes me to no end when others do believe in Disney love.

Retrograde Venus in Aqua at birth here. I find that I'm just as attracted to the unconventionally attractive as I am the conventionally attractive. Sometimes, I surprise my family with what I'm attracted to and I surprise myself with what I'm attracted to at times.
I also can oscillate between caring a ton for a person, and not caring at all. I can typically get over breakups fairly quick, but some have made me think and think about them on end, months after the fact.
I generally hate superficiality, and yet, I'm weirdly attracted to it and the IG selfie culture (though I hardly ever take pics).
I hardly ever open up even when fairly deep into a relationship, already fitting for a heavy Cap-influenced individual with a Virgo moon, but this is only accentuated with a retrograde Venus and it in cool Aqua.
So yeah.
Well it sounds a lot like another Cap sun Virgo Moon I used to know. He is Cap Venus though.click to expand
I understand him already. Uber-grounded and reliable, probably cynical to the nth degree. Apparently Virgo moons in general and Venus natal retrograde individuals can be pretty attractive aesthetically (so I've read), but the individuals may not always feel this way for whatever reasons.

With some things, yes, definitely. I also have Jupiter conjunct Venus, and it's opposite Saturn too. Perhaps the holding back would be worse if Jupiter wasn't involved. I always end up pursuing whatever is most important to me, so the pressure and second guessing only slows action down but doesn't stop it thankfully.

I have retrograde Venus in Gemini but I don't really know, I think even my family is aware that I'm very detached which doesn't mean I don't love them. I have always been more friend-oriented. As for romantic relationships, I don't do them.

Mines been interesting. Resigned from my job in Feb, was unemployed for 4 months. Think this forced me to stop thinking so much about money and work work work. Maybe try to be a little more warmer to people too. Not mean or anything, but usually more cool than I probably need to be. Don't know.
And my car's been giving me issues all year smh lol. From my right tires getting taken out on a pothole in April, to my first ever accident (fender-bender), to my car's alternator giving out on one of the busiest intersections in my city. Wild. Apparently we've still got a few more years of the return so gotta just improve and stick together!

Scorpio venus in retrograde here. I'm not going to tell my life here, but let's just say that I gave up on love. It took me some years to understand it's not for me.

I wouldn't say I lack for confidence attraction-wise, but it runs in hot and cold streaks. I generally look pretty good all-things considered I believe, but I live in my head a lot.
Maybe a month or two max relationship-wise. I don't really believe I've had a full-on relationship where I'd call a woman my girlfriend or she'd call me my boyfriend. We may have had the methodology but not the label. Typically, if I've had 10-20 relationships like this, I'd say the woman leaves 80% of the time. I can often feel, however, when she's going to leave a few days before. So I mentally prep myself. Sometimes I fight for it, other times I just resign myself to the fate.
I don't believe I'm argumentative but I have found over the years that I can have a tendency to say/text the wrong thing, or not say/do something when something is needed to be said. Apparently retrograde Aqua specializes in shock, and having a Cap mercury in 8th and retrograde can make things complicated too. I try to tell my women that my actions say everything about me, not necessarily my words.

I don't know what in my chart makes me attracted to them, must be my moon, I'm guessing.

I guess I kind of feel it all. On one hand, I don't think the people I've been with have been completely willing to accept difficulties in our compatibility. On another hand, I can be pretty distant and unaffectionate, and in a way, the whole marriage and deep love scares me in a sense.
I think that maybe your since your moon is in Cancer, you may be drawn to nurturing and saving us poor retrograded Venus souls lol? And, it's been said that people with Retrograded Venus can often be pretty attractive, even if they rarely feel as such. I sometimes do not, and I even have an 8th house stellium, which I've heard oozes sexuality.

Who knows. I run them off with my direct approach. I've dealt with a couple of Aquarius's with this placement. They can't seem to make up their mind when it comes to me. I have no clue sometimes how to deal with them. They like being in a state of confusion when it comes to women, I guess. I am fast, direct and just expect open communication. Aquarius do this with friends but clam up when it comes to them doing with me. It's like a vail of secrecy because I'm so open. As much as people say they are simple, I don't see them as simple at all.

The main issue is that their too wide open with me in public. And I'm private and likes to keep a low profile. They different from the water sign women whereas it seem like I'm more open to them (Scorpios mainly). I'm pretty sure you've red my story about them on these message boards

But in private if you keep trying and trying hard and show them that you are really interesting in them there is a chance that you won't fail with them. Coming on too fast with us aint gone get it. We need lots of time to come to a decision. Give us space. That's all we need. And don't be too direct. That's your failure right there.

Not good at receiving affection. My parents have always loved me and I love them to the ends of earth, but even they know that I've always cringed and been a little unnatural with receiving affection.
Lewd=often inappropriate. That's how I compliment sometimes though.
My fight was that I knew they were worth keeping, so I made an effort. I think they knew, but just couldn't accept my shortcomings.

Do you think it would work better? Reading this thread makes me wonder because you all seem to get each other.
Do any of you know the underlying issue of why it doesn't work? Are people just not hanging in their with you or is the fighting and struggle too much for some?
I always attract retro grade Venus, so I'm trying to understand a little more about the placement.
I don't know what in my chart makes me attracted to them, must be my moon, I'm guessing.
I've never really been deep enough into a relationship to run a natal report chart of my sig other. But, I could see retro Venuses understanding each other more.
I guess I kind of feel it all. On one hand, I don't think the people I've been with have been completely willing to accept difficulties in our compatibility. On another hand, I can be pretty distant and unaffectionate, and in a way, the whole marriage and deep love scares me in a sense.
I think that maybe your since your moon is in Cancer, you may be drawn to nurturing and saving us poor retrograded Venus souls lol? And, it's been said that people with Retrograded Venus can often be pretty attractive, even if they rarely feel as such. I sometimes do not, and I even have an 8th house stellium, which I've heard oozes sexuality.

I know what you’re saying about not feeling attractive. I’ve read that about Retrograde Venus. I’ve read that they almost have a body dysmorphia image of themselves. Where they don’t think they are attractive at all.
Of course I find them attractive but it may just be the taste I have in men 😜

I wouldn't say I lack for confidence attraction-wise, but it runs in hot and cold streaks. I generally look pretty good all-things considered I believe, but I live in my head a lot.
Maybe a month or two max relationship-wise. I don't really believe I've had a full-on relationship where I'd call a woman my girlfriend or she'd call me my boyfriend. We may have had the methodology but not the label. Typically, if I've had 10-20 relationships like this, I'd say the woman leaves 80% of the time. I can often feel, however, when she's going to leave a few days before. So I mentally prep myself. Sometimes I fight for it, other times I just resign myself to the fate.
I don't believe I'm argumentative but I have found over the years that I can have a tendency to say/text the wrong thing, or not say/do something when something is needed to be said. Apparently retrograde Aqua specializes in shock, and having a Cap mercury in 8th and retrograde can make things complicated too. I try to tell my women that my actions say everything about me, not necessarily my words.

I think it's both. Cap and Virgo specialize in being real/critical. Pessimistic at the worst. I think I'm funny to many but it can probably sound pretty dark at times to others who can't deal with dry, deadpan humor.
Nah, I'm not that affectionate. Always feels pretty foreign to me when I try to be. If I really like someone I'll do my best but it feels awkward in my head.
I can give compliments but sometimes they can tend to be lewd. I tell people "Thank you" or over exaggerate when I get complimented on via text but I'm not demonstrative.

On the low. Sag women for some odd reason is too loud and most of the times will make us ones like me embarrass in public. I don't like the idea of attention seeking. But in private if you keep trying and trying hard and show them that you are really interesting in them there is a chance that you won't fail with them. Coming on too fast with us aint gone get it. We need lots of time to come to a decision. Give us space. That's all we need. And don't be too direct. That's your failure right there.

I prefer attractive, shy men. I don't want a showy extrovert. I like hidden, deep emotions. Not up front, shiny plastic that's gonna tell me a bunch of fake words just cause he thinks I want to hear it. I like truth over everything else, I will respect the person for it. Attractiveness is subjective too, because I can over look it for an average man, if we have a great connection.

I don't think I've been with a cancer moon that I can recall. This current one is a Pisces moon and she appear more sensitive you won't think she's a Sagittarius. I've been with a few Scorpio moons as well.
As far as how it's like when in retrograde. Tbh I wouldn't really know. We have our lil ups and downs argues here and there about some of everything from our 5 year old to my female friends I takes out (yeah she's starting to catch on to that). Retrograde Venus in Aqua at birth here. I find that I'm just as attracted to the unconventionally attractive as I am the conventionally attractive. Sometimes, I surprise my family with what I'm attracted to and I surprise myself with what I'm attracted to at times.
I also can oscillate between caring a ton for a person, and not caring at all. I can typically get over breakups fairly quick, but some have made me think and think about them on end, months after the fact.
I generally hate superficiality, and yet, I'm weirdly attracted to it and the IG selfie culture (though I hardly ever take pics).
I hardly ever open up even when fairly deep into a relationship, already fitting for a heavy Cap-influenced individual with a Virgo moon, but this is only accentuated with a retrograde Venus and it in cool Aqua.
