Reading and posting on this board for a while, but you all have me questioning am I even a cancer?!Yes I love most kids(the well mannered kind), love to bake, love the home, sentimental about things BUT I'm seriously independent, get suffocated in every relationship that I enter, would find it insulting if anyone ever took pity on me (see other thread), I don't fit the mould. Any other cancers out there like me?
What is your definition of suffocated? How would you change your SO's actions as to not feel this way? I feel as if my guy is like you, in the sense that he needs plenty of space, but I am too needy/pushy/over emotional and it makes him back the fuck up.

I'm a Cancer and I'm also very independent, I'v e been on my own since I was 15, had my own place in high school. Then men who I have been in relationships with are the ones who end up clingy. I don't know where everyone gets these stereotypes from.

Precisely, as soon as they get like it, I take a step back and they tend to push forwards and cling tighter which sends me into bolt mode. I often wonder if they read cancer forums that suggest they need to support and show commitment when I take that step back ‚

We are not Libras who insufferably always need to be partnered up with someone, somehow, someway. Cancer's are fiercely dependent and recognize wanting a relationship, and the unhealthy mentality of feeling like you need one. Many of us are VERY picky in who we allow into our comfy shells. Especially after past experiences of doing so had us ended up being crushed. Oh no, no. We crabs are very comfy in solitude.

I'm in a LDR with a cancer man and hates it when I ask him questions like...where did you sleep last night. He's like .....why? The man hates answering questions. We are in a LDR! I'm like I don't know how much more space I can give you....lol damn you Independant cancers!! Lol
I would do the exact same thing, the reply would most certainly be 'why ', we are masters of avoidance regarding questions. Can easily change the subject if there's something I don't want to answer as well.

I think you may have the case of "the chase is far more exhilarating than the getting"
Soon as you get the person, you don't know what to do with it so you keep taking a breather because maybe you really do like the person, its just that you don't know what to do with them now that you have them.

I don't think anyone taking pity on me is cute...
I also, would rather be single, than date.
I'd rather just be in my own head, daydreaming, being at home, doing hermit-like things.
I suck at cooking and although I love kids, I do not want any.
I think you sound just fine to me.
