I've checked a lot of her videos in the past and - in my opinion, Jewel is probably one of the best astrologer from YouTube. She proved to be both knowledgeable and intuitive. One thing though, the house combination (as she describes them above) - won't be the same for all Cancer Ascendants.

Cancer ASC and Rumi (the ancient poet) - reminds me of one of his quotes:

"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."

That's true. But she says in another video that no matter what the house combination, we should still see our house placements in that order she said..

I too have signs repeating in houses and Libra and Aquarius are probably swallowed up in my house placements.

I'm unable to articulate, I'll search for that other video where she talks about intercepted houses or something..

That's because she uses the "equal house system (all houses have the same length)" - and you can't see the Interceptions there. Astro.com has Placidus as the default house system - which seems to be preferred by most. It's what i use as well - because it places an extra emphasis - on the major areas of our life (the houses that have a stronger - more direct impact) - as seen through Interceptions.And I find them quite accurate - after all - life is not equal in all senses. With interceptions - some houses could shift in different signs (the next) - thus, the description - would be different as well. Well, try it - and see what works for you... It's also a matter of personal choice - defined - by our personal believes. 🙂

Since people with Cancer ASC - have this tendency to withdraw in their shell (and build fortresses around them - while aiming for more security 🙂, it can be a stronger trait for us (supposedly... 🙂. People with Scorpio ASC (for example) - build ice walls (turn cold), while those with Sagittarius ASC - turn evasive and run away... so, yeah - everybody has this trait - to some extent.

I dont have Libra and Aries in my house placements.. Although I agree with whatever she said in video, I do take after the traits of my chart too.

Nope, in my case - even with Placidus - every astro-sign has its own house. 🙂

Yeah, I would say that's the best description I've seen for our Ascendant.

No no.

I dont have Aries and Libra in my house placements.

My 2nd house is repeated by Cancer.
And 8th house by Capricorn. (7th house too).

There's 2 energies attached to that house - both quite different - yet noticeable (as defined by the given houses and the given signs) - exactly like a Matryoshka doll. Take your 10'th house (MC) in Pisces - for example, it's what people see at first (on the internet too - since it's tied to MC) - but once they get acquainted with you - the other house unfolds as well... Which, is not such a good example in your case - cause you have Aries Sun too - and obviously - that will stand out among people - that give you a familiar feeling. 🙂

Yeap, the Virgo energy - is more practical in nature (a place for everything and everything in its place), more neat - but the aesthetics are less important... while Libra - is mainly about the aesthetics - the beautician of the zodiac (interior designer and such) - among other things... 🙂 In your case - both energies should be reflective for the 4th house - starting with Virgo (and Libra on the inside). Kinder Surprise (the chocolate).

i've always considered myself more a cancer ascendant even though my birth cert. showed me as 1 Leo

but listening to this video made me not really agree with the analyses for the other houses

on the other hand i didn't get a whole lot out of her Leo asc video either - it seemed shorter, mroe perfunctory than all the others

back to square one I guess LOL

Yeah she said rather extensively on certain rising signs more than others..

Not sure if I should ask here or if I should in another thread but: what are the good things about having Cancer rising?? I always read things that aren't exactly flattering about this ascendant. Personally, I find that it makes me too sensitive, ''closed'' and crabby :p

I'm really interested to hear what other cancer risings have to say in this matter!
