Australian Beer
Think Lager
I just downed a cheap Foster's Blue.
I'm still partial to the Red Stripe.
Anyway I'm feeling the amber current flowing from my mind.
I prefer wine, so I really have no beer knowledge to add. I could make a joke about why Budweiser has all the draft horses......

lol The bad influence! I didn't drink. Never had an interest in it. Even now, I don't like being drunk, so I don't drink to get drunk. Champagne, is delicious, though, so easy to drink a lot.....and when I have gotten drunk on it I'm a goofy riot. EVERYTHING is funny, plus I sing random stuff.

They aren't big on lager's, think pale ale's, or more hoppy beers.
Probably would have to hunt those down.
We have micro-breweries here in the US.
At present, I'm still partial to Red Stripe.
But they went from imported to domestic, here in the states.

I like the buzz.
Drunk was fun when I was a kid.
I prefer the buzz where you semi-stagger. Not fall down.
I think it's a tonic for falling asleep.

Ya a few of my coworkers were hired to work at young Henry's in Sydney and gage roads is a ten min drive from mine.It's easy getting work in a brewery here cuz all the pubs make you train on beer knowledge, and fermentation process. Plus we are always dealing with the beer reps. Beer is big in fremantle.
Sounds good.
Maybe I'll invade australia and you, your hubby and I can enjoy a freesome tour round town.

And those beers I mentioned.It's funny the alcoholic hierarchy here.
I mean North Americans aren't that obnoxious about their alcohol.
Plus a full strength beer is 4.5 here.
Liquor control and licensing has gotten very strict in the last ten years. So abv had to go down in beer.

I think we have a full strength of around 4% abv, here in the US.
I think that Red Stripe is about 2% abv which is fine by me because I am more "thirsty" than interested in getting drunk.
However, stronger varieties, for the sake taste might be a lure, for me.

Probably. I have a gemini friend who uses alcohol to help him fall asleep, otherwise he's wired, mentally. I've never had a problem falling asleep (unless it's a full moon), and I don't even like being buzzed that much.

When I visited Oz, I drank Boags Draught like a fish drinks water. Not many Americans know about that beer, and it would be wise of Aussies to keep it that way!
