Cancer man acts like he doesn't care

So me and my cancer man got back together after a couple of months. He reached out to me and wanted to give it another try. We broke up again and everytime we break up he acts cold and treats me like I'm nothing even though I know that's not the case. Why do cancer men act like that and is there a possibility he will be back again because I heard they always come back...

The outcome of an on-off, rinse and repeat, is that the person who grows up faster -mentally, materially, emotionally or spiritually- will be the one to pull the plug for good on such an unstable relationship.
