I would like to move on. My Virgo side is coming out though about analyzing and stepping back to reassess the situation and not be emotional.

Just take him at his word that he is busy with work. He is a doctor he is dealing with death and illness and that's gotta be depressive and heavy af.

Its a mistake to internalize his moods as your fault. Its an even bigger mistake to make it about you and have him assure you that it's not about you. Not helpful. And probably why he is asking for a break cause he feels guilty his moods are now negatively affecting you.

If you see yourself being with this person long term you need to come up with a strategy to deal with his moods. Give him space, don't take it personally, be ok with not having his full attention.

Hey sorry for the delay. We officially broke up, but I have texted him twice. Once was on my birthday and I drunk texted him. The other was a few nights ago when I asked him how he was doing. He replied both times and we did a little back and forth.
