exactly, it really isn't that serious. the bashing is not necessary, and I don't think the fact that its a public forum means that we should excuse negative and completely off base comments berating someone's character. That's exactly what I saw on this thread. Even if it is warranted (which its not) thats still completely unnecessary and inexcusable. I feel sorry for the guy. Good thing in real life you can't hide behind an anonymous name on a computer.

I just don't always feel like sending the message in a pleasant way. Don't have patience for disrespect, deliberately being ok with ignorance, or lack of awareness. But really, what does it matter if someone agrees with your point? If they refuse to see it, their loss right?

I'm not trying to be hurtful, just trying to use piercing words to get my message across... She wouldn't listen to me when I used nice words!!!

I disagree with all the insults towards the OP I don't think you are a douche I think you got a little ahead of yourself with the relationship with the Cancer.

Maybe before you were just having fun, casually dating and being the single young guy you were and then met someone that made you want to stop and pursue something more serious. That's the reason you DATE someone, it does not mean you are in love, or in a commited relationship, or you are officially a couple... You are making the conscious decision to focus your attention on one person, continue to date them to see if with time it develops into a serious relationship, it doesn'teven mean you guys are exclusive, maybe in the future do that instead of saying you guys are officially a couple while you are still tlaking to other girls...

Personally, I'd like to go back to the OP and say some positive things because there are a few to be said. Firstly, you showed a great amount of courage and respect to meet and talk with this girl face and to face and to explain the situation. You may have made mistakes, but you were able and willing to take responsibility for them and to try and set things straight. You allowed her to vent her emotions and allowed yourself to show emotion as well. You validated her as an important person in your life and one that you honestly would like to keep as a friend. If all of these things are true, and coming from the heart, then I think you did a pretty fine job and congratulate you.
