What is the best match for a Cancer man?

There's a thread for cancer woman, so I thought I should make one for the cancer man.

So, What say you ?

Ideally, a Cancer man is adaptable enough to manage all the women of the Zodiac. We are just that bloody good.

But which sign do you think you would be happiest with ?

My personal opinion is that those signs which are the most independent and require very little external stimuli for confidence, happiness etc. Those are the ones we would learn the most from and grow.

You're right, again. I'm just coming to that conclusion myself. There is no growth if we choose signs that are too much like us. We learn from people who are different, not those who are similar.

My brother was married to an Aqua for 37 years.

Cancer men need a bit of steel in order to let their cardinality shine, I think this will come if we pick one of the fire sign chicks (they are actually so good) or Virgo (good solid rationality instead of mush).

I have in the last few months formed friendships with a Leo, Aries and a Sag chick. I like all of them so much, they are absolute babes. I can absolutely see so much I can learn from them. I also believe that the fire signs could actually be sexually more compatible with Cancer than many would think 😄.

Personally, I feel I would learn most from a fire sign with some water. Earth signs are a bit tricky for me, I attract a lot of Virgo's but I seem to really piss the hell out of them for some reason, Capricorn are nice.. but unbelievably high maintenance.. Taurus are very interesting to me. I'm playing the seduction game with a Taurus now, she has Gemini Moon/Merc/Venus AND Mars.. I really like her.

Don't know man, its like you said.. we can make ourselves very compatible with anyone.

How about, which sign is your worst case scenario ?

Based on what I have seen, Cancer men do actually have long term success with fire signs.
Although it does end in divorce is some cases.
I think Cancer men have a need for strong independent women.
These women tend to dominate Cancer men. Which they seem to like.

I think any fire sign could do the trick when it comes to growth and learning and the passion is unquestionable.

I dislike both Taurus and Capricorn, too stubborn and annoying. I also think they are mostly gold diggers. Scorpios are pretty high up on my no list as well, too much energy wasted on just dealing with their dramas and I like group activities whereas they cocoon with their lovers. A very watery Pisces or Crab would be bad too since I am very airy and fiery.

🙂 We (imo) learn a lot from cancers too. I have hardly any water in my chart and cancers bring out the emotional side to me which I like....gives me a different perspective on things...plus its nice to have a break from being so logical all the damn time lol

Leos are good too. But she needs to be watery for me. I tend to have epic confrontations with airy/firey leos. I wonder what would an earthy leo look like ?

I love the idea of Pisces and Scorpio. But they are a couple of zones past the don't you dare zone, trespassers will be shot zones and survivors will be shot zone. Not a fucking chance in a billion years.

I'd vouch for Sag/Cancer any day.

Libra/Cancer is very interesting, but feels like its going to be very tricky. Doesn't help that a lot of them have VinS

The air signs are a bit too flaky for me, I have them as my friends but I wouldn't romantically involve myself with them.

I've had an Aries relationship...lasted about 2 years - I'm a Cancer man. It was solid, we got along and got shit done, but unfortunately there was no "depth" there.

I just met this Aries girl recently (we are now friends), I was just very impressed with her. The big thing for me was how good her word was....that's like everything to me in any friendship. Secondly, she is also very smart. I noted that any discussion about war making (I was discussing politics) made her flush like as if it was something sexual...lol. The whole thing was very interesting and we just naturally became friends. i am not sure if I had any female aries friends before and just trying to explore this sign. Tell me more, I lust! 😛

Can you explain how much space Aries generally need. Like if an aries wanders off on their own, do they expect their mate to follow them or do they just want metime? This is like so different for the different signs, so I am kind of curious.

I think it depends on other placements. I'm friends with a very firey Cancer who is in this amazing relationship with an earthy Leo. My all Sag cousin has been in a ltr with an airy Cancer for awhile now. As far as personal growth is concerned, I do like the idea of Cancers and Sags...I think Sags can expand anyone's horizons if you're open to it.

@ladybliss - I am quite sorry to hear your story. I don't know why women focus so much on the age thing, you have a younger man deeply interested in you, isn't that actually flattering? As a guy I am flattered both ways if a younger or an older woman is interested in me. Yeah and I am pretty sure that the "let's be friends" killed it, those are terrible words for an ex to tell a Cancer man. It doesn't work for us like that, we are very possessive of our lovers. I wish you good fortune in the future, I am sure that you will meet another interesting man but next time discard the age factor.

@RoseTheTaurus - I am trying to know Aries and Sags through my two new female friends. Leos I had a very good understanding through my past relationships and I can confirm it works very well between a Cancer Man and a Leo Woman. I am amazed at how much we can learn from the fire signs, it's fascinating. They are so direct and open that a lot of the confusion is sorted out quickly through just talking!

I feel that romantically, none of the water signs get along with each other except their own sign. Unless there is near perfect chart synastry, perfect timing and a lot of maturity between the two equally. Too many emotions, too much boiling over. They tag and take turns with who's blowing up/icing out now.

I'm an Aries with lots of water in my sign so I'm sensitive and emotional and can relate to my Cancer who's the same. I am more independent than he is though and less needy than he is. I'm very nurturing and like to take on traditional female tasks such as cooking, cleaning etc. and letting him be the "man" so to speak. Someone mentioned that a Cancer with Gemini in Venus wouldn't prefer a dominant woman. I agree. My Cancer has this placement and definitely prefers to be the more dominant one in the relationship.

His sensitivity initially took me by surprise. I'd never met a man as emotional as him. But I discovered that I like it. His neediness usually makes me feel good - if it's me that he needs 🙂 But sometimes it's a bit smothering.
