Please tell me I'm not the only one that absolutely HATES inconsistency! Currently talking to a cancer, he has made several suggestions about meeting up, has said the next weekends he's available and now when I try to confirm to make sure that's okay nothing. He doesn't even acknowledge my question! I hear from him and then I don't. I've about had it.

Inconsistency to me is, we text and talk on the phone one day then 4 days go by and haven't heard anything. Then I get asked if I'm OK that they didn't hear anything from me. Having to start every conversation is tiring, and shows lack of effort for me.

They settle once you lock it down though.

I... don't really think inconsistency is a bad thing... I mean, I honestly think it would be boring if there's no spontaneity in a person's life. But, I guess too much can be quite annoying. I understand your feelings though. It's also annoying for me when I get asked by people whether or not I'm okay just because they haven't heard from me for days. But I also ask them the same thing if they're the ones not bothering... agh I'm confused.

Just don't bother talking to him. T_T or tell him straight. *slaps self for giving unwanted advice*

I'm very blunt and forward with what's on my mind. My Gemini mother passed down few good traits. It irritates me because it's like he's hot and cold. Like one day he said he would put forth the time and effort for us to be something, even if I don't feel the same! I told him why would you say that? If I didn't feel the same why would I even waste both of our time?

I hear this a lot. But it makes me wonder what you all's decision of inconsistency is.

Inconsistency to me is when someone says they are one way, but act another; or say they're going to do this, then do that' instead; or believe/feel this one day then a few days later they're believing/feeling the exact opposite.

Inconsistency and spontaneity are two different things though. You can be consistent and spontaneous at the same time. A person who is spontaneous is most likely consistently spontaneous.

Pensive, I've had that happen with 3 Virgos in my life. They move away and the contact stops. These are "close" friends at the time who have all talked about starting businesses together when they're around. Hmm...

Did he answer your questions? The second question is kind of vague. Did you clarify to him how you felt about him, or was he to assume that you care based on your questions? Maybe he thinks that you’re not interested.

After I told him so he did infact apologize, saying he must have misinterpreted my responses. I'm just like are you kidding me? IM the one who starts all the conversations, I'm the one who has mailed him multiple gifts, I'm the one who constantly tells him how much I like him, and for him to say, and on top to say how he wasn't even sure if he was going to tell me if he moves even farther away because "I wouldn't be crazy about it" really just a downer and turn off. Not once have I stop contact like he has.

I if this is a habit you will find he is at least 'consistent' with his 'inconsistencies'

I say this on the Aqua board all the time. There does become a point when you expect inconsistency. Such as if they're gung ho for six weeks, then back off for two, then gun ho for six, back off for two - that's consistent behavior.
