Are Selfies Unhealthy and Narcissistic
Science suggests that excessive selfies can be linked to narcissism and low self-esteem. They may reflect insecurity and a desire for validation. ...not that I disagree that this shit is annoying, but there was an "article" floating around the other day that was linked back to the equivalent of The Onion.
I block bitches like that in my newsfeeds. I even told some the other day I was sick of seeing their faces posted so often and to chill out. Nobody forgets what you look like and it's pathetic that you're so obvious in your attention whoring, seeking validation ways.
People take selfies becuase they need close up pictures of themselves!!! LOL

Taking selfies isn't the problem. It's those who decide to inflict their selfies onto the rest of the world (on a constant basis) who are the problem.

I don't see anything wrong with selfies though, unless its like two or more a day. That's a little excessive.
My daughter's generation is nicknamed the "selfie generation".
I don't like taking selfies and looking at the people I follow who share a Cap sun sign, most of them hardly ever take selfies either. If I'm in the mood, maybe I'll take and post one once every few months via a story.
The signs I see that take them the most are the air signs LMAO! Especially Libra and Gemini!

Back in October he ended our relationship and 8 told him I needed the space. Seeing his stuff pop up was killing me. I blocked him on everything for a few weeks.
Eventually I removed the blocks but I haven’t asked to follow anything. I think he’s afraid to ask because he knew he hurt me and I don’t think I’m missing out

I understand, I have to do the same thing. It’s probably best you keep it this way. When I deleted mine it took some unneeded stress off me and the relationship.
Last week was probably one of the most difficult in my life, but in the midst of it I met a really handsome and kind guy that let me pour out all of my feelings on him.
Took down his number and gave hime mine, so earlier this week he called, then texted asking me for a pic/selfie. I was nearly immediately turned off.
Idk what it is, but asking me for a picture is one of the worst things a guy can do if they are interested. I don't like taking selfies, and if I do take one I SURELY do not like sending them.
He tried again a day or two later asking me to send a picture but I just talked around it. I guess he's upset now because he hasn't contacted me back. I think he's a nice person and want to thank him for being there for me, I just don't want to send a pic.

One did. She is a Libra, and said she's struggled in the past with depression and has had struggles with her weight since graduating college. She's gorgeous in the face and I liked her body, but most of her shots were composed in the best light, best angle, best makeup, etc. Said she's working on her body but also seemed to accept it too, which is cool either way. I heard most Libras don't like physical exertion lol. Anyway I'll always care about her and I'd be willing to try again if she wants to.
Another was a Gem. She never flat out said that she had self-esteem issues but I usually see her retweeting or liking stuff that has to do with body image, having big thighs or hips, etc.
Both asked me why I didn't have selfies or a ton of pics. I just told them I'm not that photogenic and I've never liked taking them often. I think they were both kind of surprised when they met me the first time that I do look like my pics, even better. I just have no desire to post myself in a vain light. Doesn't fit most Caps nature I guess!

Science has proven it. They proved it's a measure of how much of a arrogant, narcissistic, asshole you are. If you take stupid selfies, mirror selfies which are some stupid shit of you holding the camera up to the mirror to take a picture of yourself. Way to go, you are a asshole with no friends who have to show how much your looks matter to you rather than not giving a fuck what anyone thinks of you. If you really want to take a picture of yourself why not just get someone to do it for you so there's no bad angle for the pic? Full body shot instead of just your face in the pic to show just how centered you are on yourself. I've know I've done a few selfies in the past, but now I look back on them and I see how stupid and insecure I was (Though I did mine because no one at the time knew what I looked like and someone asked). Though I've done mine with either my computer or put my phone a pedestal and timed it. But my overall point, I hope selfies in the future will be something we can look back on and say "Man, we really stupid back then weren't we?" Bigger point- You take selfies you're an idiot, even me at one time.
I feel bad for later generations if they have to put up with this shit. It's even been proven that selfies are related to mental illness.
