So each player has had a game apiece where they had a good opportunity to win a game but werenβt able to get it done right? Iβve also heard that if it goes to a tiebreaker, Carlsen will have the advantage. If thatβs true (which I have no idea lol) would Carlsen maybe be playing somewhat cautious and be fine with going to the tiebreaker? Obviously heβd rather win before that, but maybe heβs also hoping Caruana gets too aggressive to try and win a game as the games get near the end and will try to take advantage of that. But tbh Iβm not that knowledgeable about chess and am just spitballing lol
First 12 games will be played in Classical time format. They're currently playing Game 8 now I believe.
If there's still no winner after Game 12 (both are 6 points each), then the game will continue in Rapid format (I think there will be 4 games lol not sure).
Rapid is faster than Classical (20 or 25 minutes per game if I'm not mistaken).
Caruana is known for "not good" at Rapid. He's not even in the top 20 GM imo. So he must avoid going to Rapid at all costs.

Says it's thought provoking / time consuming but in the end not very concerning if black doesn't panic and goes from

Perhaps e3 from white should be postponed though. Attacking the diagonal immediately looks more pressing IMO

1.5 margin was their biggest gap so far. Very even match.
